Another thing I noticed about the PPSH is that the guy puts his left hand under the barrel, you know, the one with lots of holes in it? That seems VERY unsafe.

+IronGhost I also agree with you entirely that having a 25 round mag was for balancing, which makes sense seeing as how the only guns in BFBC2 Vietnam with magazines above 30 rounds were machine guns (100 rounds) so having an the PPSH with its original 71 round mag, and having the MAC 10 and UZI at 30 rounds would put the other SMGs at severe disadvantage unless they significantly hindered the PPSH 41's accuracy or something like that :/

Guess they figured every COD kiddie knows only the iconic drum mag and the ensuing whining about "realism" would have been endless... Using the stick mags with less than capacity would have also actually been realistic, since that's often done to improve feeding reliability and reducing stress put on the magazine springs. Of course, there's no reason why the drum mags couldn't be loaded with less rounds, but would be giving up the only advantage those had - capacity.

Though my opinion will have a different point, I kinda wish for some FPS games to have a unique reload mechanics like having to reload under stress or when being suppressed that the character has a chance to miss the magwell.

That's actually how they had to hold it. With 1200rpm, the barrels gets hot quite fast.

Michelle Rachel No, but i want to be. When i reload my Airsoft sniper rifle it reloads MUCH faster when you keep weapon butt to shoulder.

I can tell you from experience that, for me at least, I can manipulate the bolt much quicker by taking it off of my shoulder , chambering a new round, then raising it back up. ( This is on a Savage Axis ll Xp) It really depends on how smooth the bolt is. Comparing it to you airsoft gun isnt really fair, because a real firearms bolt is much stiffer because of the lockup required.

***** The RPK doesn't have belt feeds, you're thinking of the RPD, and the RPK-74 doesn't take drum magazines at all. The RPK's drum magazine only holds 75 rounds

I also noticed that the Thompson is referred to as the simpler WWII M1A1 design, but due to the bolt position and the cutts compenstator, the model is clearly a M1928A1, presumably recycled from Battlefield 1943.

You should hold it with your hand behind the drum or at least hold the drum without gripping it to prevent misfeeds.
