I still play BF1 on my PS4. Would love to get a PC to get even more precise with aiming. You're right, the game just feels good and the graphics were crispy. V and 2042 feel like less quality and more quantity when it came to maps and weapons

Many fans care about destruction. Destruction is what made bf 5 so good for me.

I think it's also todo with the fact that most of the talent left after bf5 and went to embark studios..their working on a two games called the finals and arc raiders and the destruction in both those games you can tell are from battlefield vets

thats cap, take off the nostalgia goggles. bf2042 clearly has the best destruction. not the bf1 is bad, its still great for destruction. but 2042 is just better in that regard. (even if it is less immerssive)

it is also more realistic. Just watch any demolition video, there is gonna be a lot of smoke and dust, and the smoke should actually linger longer, which imo was shortened just right in BF1. Perfect mix of realism and fun

On Xbox, I can barely control the air vehicles without flying into the combat zone or just crashing into the ground in BF1 but that goes with every air vehicle in every BF game so it's likely just a me problem.

The gunplay is good, just sounds like you're bad at the game

@@provisionalhypothesis yeah I can't get into that vehicle are stupidly op you can literally sit in your spawn shoot non stop to every point on some maps and never get hit. The heli need a update as the flar recovery along with anti lock is a bit much unless you got a group just hunting heli down they can rain hell on a map run away hide heal get flare back come back don't all over again mean while your running around trying to get someone to drop ammo so u can take it out

@@velaikka well I did say it was a little unbalanced at times lol. But it never stopped me from having the most fun I've had in battlefield. I think if they made a game with bad company 2s level of destruction, bf3 close quarters detail of destruction, and REALLY beefed up bf5s fortification mechanics it would be perfect

@@velaikka tbh the ENTIRE reason I ever started playing battlefield was because of the first trailer I saw of bad company 1. It showed off the destruction and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Without that it probably would have been another shooter I would've ignored. So I'd just really like a focus on that again. I'm ready to see the actual next evolution of destruction their technology is capable of. Not this scaled down, sandbagged bs. I'm gonna play 2042 next week when it's free on ps plus but I know it's a shell of a battlefield, even with all the updates. The destruction isn't there, along with countless other things

@@tristan.h5099 The BFV is superior in all respects. I don't see anything that could be worse than 2042. It's a shame they left it when it was starting to get really cool. Pacific and Provence were great. Unfortunately, they abandoned it to "finish" the next game in the series. This is how Crapfield 2042 was created

I think the physics are actualyl slightly better, like you can see larger chunks falling off the buildings in realistic ways in 2042...its just there's very little destruction in general, and far less destructible pieces. Can't see it if it dont exist.

Any new FBS game that doesn't have destructible buildings is a joke.

@beheumband5758 well it's hard to say because the bf1 graphics are very dark and gloomy which works well for the setting but I think if a bit of color was added while still keeping the dark palette of colors on it would look better

that's bs, there werent even craters in bf3. also not in bf4 and hardline. bf3 and 4 still had collapsing buildings. things changed a lot in bf1.
