Hoping this means we dont get chucked back into a queue after the game finishes anymore. That is by far the most annoying feature of 2042, i miss the days of playing several games in a row with or against the same players, the bonds and the competition that would brew over chat etc. Cod needs this to come back too.

Yeah games over the years have brought in amazing graphics, immersive audio, accessibility options and general new gameplay mechanics. But at the same time, they've stripped away or forgotten about the social aspects of video games. I think the industry pushed towards a competitive market rather than a "community" driven one. The likes of split-screen and couch coop games had taken a back seat the last decade. But even in BILLION dollar industries, they're still missing things like Proximity based chat = Battlebit... and i'd love to see THAT, alongside the immersion of "vocal audio awareness" which even Lethal Company has. Chats are usually boring as hell and for todays standard, being cross platform gaming, it's no good for Console players trying to communicate with PC players. Even as a PC player, it's boring as hell just typing to talk too. I remember one of my favourite oldschool games being Splinter Cell Double Agent for the Multiplayer and the fact you could speak to the enemy team when you got a hold of them. Even COD back in the day had eavesdrop and if pretty much everyone in a lobby was using it (before party chats and discord became the norm) it was a chaotic and hilarious time. They have the capability of these things, I just wanna see someone actually implement it into an amazing final product, rather than give us 3 "NEW" (usually half baked) features with each new (yearly) release and strip away 10 others that have have been accepted or people have came to love. Especially in the likes of FPS games, there should be a lot more socialising. Yes gaming can be toxic as hell, but it also creates unforgettable memories and new friendships.

I think the system you’re referring to was actually the Lobby Host method vs the Server Method that they use today. Back in the old COD day, a specific players connection was used to host the lobby. This kept you in the same lobby unless you left but it was also terribly abused with Lag Switches and DDOS attacks on the lobby host. The new Dedicated Host Servers are controlled by the devs to give players a consistent and controlled environment, helping eliminate the ping advantage the Lobby Host would get, but for some reason they aren’t able to keep the same players in the lobby because they refresh..

Thanks for shining a light on some community stuff. Placing those icons must've been a pain. I think the 'vehicle in play' thing only goes away when the vehicle wreckage fully despawns (blows up again and disappears); it's not affected by respawn times.

Ahh yes Jack! (9:50) I heard of Grandpr gaming a few days ago, I immediately subscribed! He's awesome man, he's legitimately so based. (I'm 23, but that's not an issue, it's about time the younger generations reconnected with the old timers, in places like Spain it's quite common for all generations to be connected and get along well.) Also, at 16:34, Jack is being very brave and "honourable" for attacking the wall head on and direct like that, if that were me I would have tried to flank them. It was like watching some cowboy marksmen having a duel.

Twister was so good, one of the few VHSs I fully wore out. Then got to go on the ride at universal(?) about 25 years ago....Can't believe how much time has passed! Anyway, always enjoying the content. Don't apologise for taking a wee break every now and then!

The Pondhawk racing isn't for me, but it's nice to see people coming up with new ideas for BF2042. I hope DICE fixes the server seach resetting and bring back hardcore servers to the main menu. It's a shame to have hardcore mode hidden behind something called Portal.
