@demonsangells Its Patrik Mennander, yes. He left Battlelore in late 2004 if i recall. By far their best male vocalist (in my opinion) :) Patrik is the vocalist for the Finnish industrial metal band Ruoska.

I love Tomi, but this guy has some killer clean vocals!

i love this band. from new zealand where lord of the rings is made. i heard this randomly while listning to music at work and instantly fell in love with her heavenly vocals. then i found out this was a lord of the rings band. so awsome.

It is so sad that they are so underrated, despite the wonderful songs they write and the amazing melody they put in them! Furthermore, they are very good when playing and performing songs live, in a concert!

Patrik and Kaisa harmonize well on 'The Journey'. Patrik was and still is a fuckin beast of a front man! I'm not into his band Ruoska, but he sure knows how to take command of the stage. Check out some Ruoska video clips and even if you don't like their style of music, you'll probably agree that Patrik has great stage presence and his vocals are still fucking killer. Tomi is awesome on CD. No matter who's vocals you prefer, one thing is certain...Battlelore fucking rules!!!

@Simlatio As you might have noticed, I'm still alive ^^. I just have problems with staying realistic sometimes :), but if the shit ever falls down, I'd be able to get over it. Now I just have to believe that a happy end could also be, don't know what kind of happy end, but I'm way too pessimistic ^^.

@Simlatio ... that's why I want to give it a try with a woman who's kind of older, lives a few thousand miles away and doesn't even know I listen to her music. Last time I "fell" (I love the going up and falling down metaphor XD), it took me some time to get up from the ground, but after every love story comes another one, which helped me to get up again. I guess that's what you meant when you said "not who I originally wanted".

@Simlatio If somebody loves you for real, they won't lie. In a relationship, if she lies to you, she'll hurt herself, which most people try to avoid (instinct again). And she'll hurt you, which mean she doesn't love you, relation over, try again. That's how I see things after a few years in the business. And about your "aiming high" thing, that's also my kind of thing. the higher you go, the deeper you fall, but once you reached the ground you know where you are....

Last time I was is such a situation, I lacked this goddamn self-conf and I almost killed myself. I'm like Eminem's die-hard fan "Stan" (from the song, if you know it), and I'm trying to stay rational. It's not easy when you have a Kaisa wallpaper on your computer screen...

@Simlatio You're right. But still, I'm quite obsessed with her (let's say it, damn). My problem : she has tons of fans, every fan knows her, but she knows none on them. She can't remember them all, that's normal. I want her to remember me, so I have to do something special. Depending on what I do, either she ignores it, or she likes it, or she dislikes it, or she's tenderly affected, or she's afraid of this teenie madman... I can't wait to be there, but I'm freaking out on the consequences ^^.

And just about the age difference, I hope it doesn't matter, but for me it's more a difference of experience than in age. I'm 19, I'm barely an adult. If I was 25, eleven years wouldn't bother me. But I'm not going to wait six goddamn years XD. The sooner a dream comes true, the longer it lasts before you wake up ^^. let's see if I get lucky :)

@Indorin1 Late response, but just so you know the entire album is about LOTR. Don't know about their newer stuff though, but they sing about some dragon, Smaug perhaps, and about Khazad-Dhûm iirc. Awesome cake anyway.

It's like a lot of profanity in English, though - you don't bother too much about what it means, it's just rough language.

So, being kind of special, among metalheads, is a good thing IMO. It creates links, understanding, and the simple people are just so boring. Being different is probably my biggest help with her XD
