Hey, I used one of these for the first time recently. It was the 2x SRM-2 model, and I used it to taxi my anti-mech jump infantry platoon around. 1:27 ☝️😏 It's the anti-mech jump infantry platoon. It took enough damage to the left skirt that I had to roll an 8 anytime I wanted to do anything. Ended up doing a lot of Fast & Furious: Tukkayid Drift with it. Thankfully, there weren't many buildings around for me to slam into. And there were no forest hexes.

The Blizzard is a go-to APC. Good for any line-up for MERC, Capellan, Taurian, Magistracy, and WoB. I recommend this APC for its good speed and 6-ton infantry compartment that could carry none-standard sized jump platoons, motorized infantry platoons, and heavy battle armor squads to none-standard sized battle armor infantry squads. I have used the Blizzard “SRM” extensively in games, with 6 trooper Purifiers squads in static positions, escorted by Hussar “HSR-500-D” battlemechs. The vehicles light weight of 25 tons has been useful in campaigns being sling loaded under Karnov’s or fitting into a light vehicle bay on dropships. I use it much like it was described as a smoke dispenser with the SRM’s. The LRM model is more a light fire support vehicle for me as I like to use NARC and semi-guided rounds. The turret is a good advantage over the Heavy Hover APC as the MP may be reserved for dropping off the troops instead of orienting the vehicle for fire. The idea of using Thunder Augment LRM’s has crossed my mind. Played the Black Blizzard for the ECCM. Yes, in pairs. I mostly use inferno’s SRM’s and machine guns to set fires. Tandem charge, and NARC ammo for the SRM’s had mixed results as I found the inferno’s more overall useful. Smoke in the Black Blizzard is put down effectively with heavy smoke clouds to block LOS or add a +2 to pulse lasers. I have an entire tactical build on the use of the Blizzard, smoke SRM’s, laser-reflective arrow-4, and Purifiers. But my line-up is a 3060-3067 build.
