BATTLETECH Lancers vs Wolf Empire | Escape From Dagda Part 2 | Override Battle Report | ilClan Era

After their decoy raid went horribly wrong, the 21st Centauri Lancers close on their true target: the high-security, fortified Upsilon-7 Detention Center.
An elite force of six special operations squads are tasked with airdropping into the facility, while a heavy lance backs up the attack and secures exfiltration.
However, Theta Galaxy commanders - now keen to the Lancer's presence on Dagda, are scrambling units across the planet to eliminate the threat.
The orders from Wolf command are crystal clear: leave no one alive - including any escaped prisoners.

Ben seems to be this wholesome nerdy underdog who's really easy to root for. The VIP appeared to be a small-time train robber, but unknown to Wolf, he's actually a data smuggler with loads of sensitive information encoded into his DNA. His experience robbing trains ended up clutch as it taught him how to tuck and roll. The information contains coordinates and passcodes for a blacksite located underground. The blacksite can now be infiltrated or nuked from orbit.

Ben is just overcome by the pure joy of battle. "Come on turret" he cheers as he watches AC5 rounds pour into his men's positions. You can picture him in a Patton movie like moment, as he walks about..."God I love it so..."😇 Great BR.

As a long time Phoenix Hawk pilot I applaud the use of DFA. Heck it's this channel's namesake, so it really needs to be used more often. Well done Mr. Ben for having the grit to pull it off. As for the VIP, maybe it's one of the unit's top financial backers who was thought dead. Maybe he also has a key piece of intelligence that the enemies of the Wolf Empire would pay a small fortune to have...like Wolf Jesus is a lie! Thanks for the awesome scenario guys.

The VIP was a comstar operative who knows a hidden cache location somewhere on Dagda. Also, longtime player, so have pulled off 3 successful DFA’s. Two in a Highlander (Raven and kitfox, neither survived). Third in a Grasshopper onto a gunslinger. He survived but it was jungle, and I was in a Grasshopper so I made sure he never got a clean shot. The DFA was the beginning of the end. Grasshoppers are vicious brawlers.

Loved this game, one of my favorite on the channel. Felt like a real nail biter until the end. The combined arms of infantry and elementals really felt like how I imagine Battletech. Thanks for sharing!

Katherine Steiner passed in 3143. "Mother" of Alaric Ward. The VIP is another "child" of Katherine and Vlad. Bred as a Katherine contingency, this is the beginning of Katherine's revenge on Alaric Ward. IlKhan and Katherine's murderer.

Great battle report lads, glad to see Ben as a potential new member of the crew to play - he brings a great joy and fun to the group. As for who you saved. It’s obvious. You saved a deep cover Loki agent who was operating in this area of the Commonwealth/Republic Boarder before the wolves turned on the Commonwwalth and took the planets and after several years learning about the wolves was captured and jailed. He is a high value asset to the Commonwealth, he has full info on the future invasion plans to the Wolf Khan to Terra and should he get this information to the Archon, the commonwealth could easily plan its invasion in time with the wolves departure and take back the worlds lost… tho if the Archon will actually act upon this… well we know she won’t but nobody else would so while this is a great risk and priority worth every sacrifice… in the end it’ll all be for nothing. Now that’s Dark Age story telling 😂

I've stuck two DFAs in my time, one was an unspectacular Dervish on Centurion that did some damage but didn't amount to anything game changing. The other though was special magic. I have a friend who loves his Hatchetman and always tries to get it into melee. I generally don't give him the chance. He's chasing my Phoenix Hawk across a mountain and I'm feeling froggy so I jump over the peak and into his face. Hit. So far so good. But just like y'all we don't do them often enough to have all the rules memorized. So of course in CBT the DFA pushes the attacked mech a hex. Which was a four level drop. But it gets better. Into the hex occupied by a Panther his wife was piloting. I'd like to claim some deep tactical genius there but nah. I just wanted to smash my jumpy boi into his slicey boi.

Always loved your mats, and maps? Are they Neoprene or cloth? I've tried Neoprene and can never get them to lay like you do? I use FAT mats, suggestions on mats to use? OH And fun game. Always good seeing a newer face that Tom :-P

@@DeathfromAboveWargaming should have been 4/8/12, but its default range in TT means a +2 to-hit at the point most speedy lights are entering firing range at +4. The closer those lights get, the more effective the too hit. BUT, i’m in no way saying its a good weapon. It should have been as I said: 7t 2c 10h 10d 4/8/12. The biggest issue, imho, is not the IS laser but the insanely good Clan cousins that they compared against; they eschew the perception.

@Vagabond820 yah if the range was better it’d be worth it… but currently, the pulse benefit doesn’t do much because the range stinks! And agree on the clan cousin!!

@@DeathfromAboveWargaming instead of keeping the range at 1 less hex at each bracket of the MPL, they used the long range matches the max medium range of the base laser of the MPL; so, we get 10 hexes max range on the LPL instead of 12. Basically, pulse is an option that removes long range of the base and adds a point blank range with a bonus to-hit, heat, and a touch of dmg.
