The Bili Project Foundation's Co-Founder, Sue Acquisto, shares her story of how her husband went from complaining of a stomach ache to being diagnosed with Bile Duct Cancer (Cholangiocarcinoma). Sue is now committed to bringing this cancer into the spotlight as well as funding research to find a cure and better diagnostic tools.

my cousin just now is diagnosed the same..i had listen stories of those who survived by early surgery...i hope it is never too late to him....getting the best medical intervention best doctors is so rare in Philippines...we live all matters to God by our prayers

my mom was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma.. i'm not sure what stage at that time because i'm still a child but she suffered for 1 year before she passed away. she did chemo and radiotherapy, no surgery done because the doc said it would be high risk for her. the hospital become her second home, all the staff in ward knew her well. i barely see her smiling in the hospital, and don't have any idea how to make her happy at all.. all i can do is stay by her side all day =) until the end of her life, i stay by her side. i hope she is happy having a daughter stay with her despite the pain she went through by herself..

You are a wonderful and loving daughter. I am so sure your mother found you to be a very loving and comforting support. When you are this sick it it difficult to communicate and medications keep the patients tranquil. Be assured how important your loving presence was to your mom. Blessings to you.

I can barely hear the people talk in these videos. Is there a way to turn down the volume of the background music so I can hear the people talk? Thanks.

Thank you. My mom just got dx with stage 4 bile duct cancer (she's 60) and I am her daughter (28). It looks like she doesn't have long. I came across this video and didnt feel alone. 🙏

Just go diagnosed with chalangiocarcinma, bile duct cancer as well, just in beginning. They where going to resect 1/2of my liver but the John Hopkins team want to do chemo first than surgery. Scared to death of chemo, but not many choices here. Get biopsy this Monday to confirm cancer. No signs and don't feel bad. Digestion drove me to doctors then scans and diagnosis . I just came across your video and it is very touching. My husband is fighting bile duct cancer. He was diagnosed in September 2013 (by accident) and we had our little girl in January of 2014. We named her Hope. I've always wanted a little girl and was thrilled, especially considering we didn't find out the sex. We were at the University of Michigan for two months this past year with several complications but he has been home since April. We are slowly trying to get some weight back on him and some days are better than others, but your husband was right-just be strong. It is so true that early diagnosis is so very important. Currently, we are trying to look for alternative treatments. A friend called me today to tell me about protandim. I've been trying to research it a little as I came across your video. Many hugs to you strong woman.

Emily Moody my father just got diagnosed with the same thing just a few weeks ago and I am trying to find any kind of good news on treating this nightmare of an illness! Does anyone have any??

How many opinions has he gotten? What hospital is he going to? Johns Hopkins is pretty amazing. My husband fought courageously for nearly 3 years, far exceeding his diagnosis. He did many drastic diet/nutritional things....juicing and no sugar for almost the first year.

They pretty much said he didn't have any options and to just go home and they would try to just keep him comfortable untill the end so that's why I am trying to find anything I can

We are in Oregon and he has only been to Salem hospital which I am not a fan of at all cause in my opinion they don't care for their patients very well unfortunately

My husbands tumor was wrapped around his portal vein, making it unresectable. I am assuming your fathers is not a candidate for surgery? What stage is it? Where is the location? In the liver or outside of it? Does he have any other conditions? Ulcerated colitis? How is his bilirubin levels? Is he in any discomfort or pain?
