We both wanted some stock, (James needed some) and we thought it would be good fun to get a little competition going: Who can buy the best car for under £5000?! The rules seem to be quite fluid but I think we settled on the winner being whoever can make the most amount of profit in the shortest amount of time....

Great video, I keep telling James to be jumping in the car, you need to be all over it, steering, clutch, windows, blower, radio, you can check most things in 2 mins, rev the bk**ks off it, check for smoke, auctions just aren't to be trusted, at all, I buy from them every week.

great video with 2 of my fav youtubers! talking of honda jazz's the mk1 (2001-2008) was built in japan and had less rust proofing, hence thats why they rust....but the mk2 from 2009 onwards was made in the u.k. and dosesnt seem to rust, so probably has better rust proofing for our roads.

Enjoyed that, good fun, I watch chops too occasionally, good lad. More to follow these 👍 I’ve bought a couple of cars in auction When I’ve been skint, Honda Cuvic VTi for 1500, spent 300 on it and sold it 2 years later for 1500. Many moons ago, but now thinking of going back for daughters first cars.

I paid 750 to Gordon, he is a cabbie / taxi driving instructor. out of Bromley. Kinnard avenue. I'm.sure others used him he was very popular and well known in the trade. Well strict he made fulll grown men cry shouting at them when they made a mistake on the road. Wheelchair test aswell don't forget and the drive.

Had loads of jazz's, always OK mechanically but getting a bit rusty underneath these days, bought a punto other day with a rusty sump, on a 14, oil everywhere, no mention on the report, mil light came on 100yrds from the auction as well, ha, ha.

A lot of Jazzs' coming back on the market as insurance has shot right up on them because of all the CATS being pinched off them!

No matter how pushed for time I am I ask the driver what's the clutch like, get him to rev it, I then waggle the steering wheel to check for assistance, 20 secs that can save you loads, fairly often if a cars cheap its because it's got nasty faults and the vendors set the reserve low, not coz they want to give you easy wages. Checking mot history for advisories is again just a basic prior check, I find people just won't buy without virtually advisory free mot.

Surprised you both keep buying cheap high mileage older cars,if your desperate for this type of stock surely getting it part exchanged is a better way,auction fees and risk with this type of car is huge.I like both KZfaq channels but you are always complaining about recon costs then warranty claims,puzzled by this repeat approach?

Both houses & cars have become too expensive for most Americans these days, most especially for single people and/or single-income households. Even a lot of 2 income households can't afford them.

Well it needs work yet, a clutch, service, PDI and then there will be £250ish of VAT, and then, because I’m such a dodgy dealer, I’ll have to warrant it for 3 months. Stick to buying ringers off Facebook marketplace and don’t comment on things you don’t really understand 👍
