This was interesting. Like you, I wondered about the boats safety rising at high tide, then sitting on the sea floor at low tide. Amazing what a few hours can do. Magnetic Hill was amazing too! Amazing, amazing, truly amazing! You find the most fun places to visit! I have heard of the Bay of Fundy, with that super deep high and low tides, but had never seen it. Thank You for showing me…HOWEVER, I would totally freak out putting our Lucy in neutral and start rolling (not slowly, but pretty darn fast!) backwards and UPhill. I’d be outta her in a flash! Completely defies the laws of nature and science. Wonderful videography once-again you two! Love Ya, Virginia

Wow I didn't know big nice boats can rest on the ground like that. I always thought only canoes and row boats could do that. I gotta get outside of Detroit. Ha ha. But downtown I did see giant tankers turn completely sideways in the rushing Detroit River and dock inside of a slot barely big enough for the boat. That is an amazing operation and they do it all day like clockwork. Big scary river that Detroit river

@@NewstateNomads Hi Howard. Thanks! Our ship arrives in St John, New Brunswick, on Oct 14th at 6:30 AM, and we depart at 6:45 PM. The tides that day in Fundy are Low Tide Fri 14, 5:54 AM ADT 0.63M High tide 11:42 AM ADT 1.72 m Lo Tide 6:26 PM ADT 0.45 m - At the moment, most of the ship tours are sold out, but we can probably get on one after boarding the ship. The most comprehensive tour is 6 hours and appears to cover many of the points you highlighted in your video. Royal Caribbean calls it the Saint John Bucket List tour. I would appreciate your thoughts. Thank you! Here's what they list as the Overview: Experience everything Saint John has to offer. Your picture-perfect day includes the incredible Reversing Falls, the Old City Market, historic Fort Howe, and charming St. Martins. On this exciting tour, you’ll see where the mighty St. John River and the Bay of Fundy’s monstrous tides collide, creating the Reversing Rapids. Whether slack tide or peak tide, the view from the vantage point is always awesome. At Fort Howe, built by the British during the American Revolution, the lookout offers a panoramic city and harbor vistas - and a great photo opportunity of your ship on the horizon. Your tour includes the Old City Market, the country’s oldest farmer’s market. There, take pictures of the same wrought-iron gates that have swung closed at the end of each business day since 1880. After, enjoy some time on your own at the market for exploring, shopping, and a bite of lunch. Then head to St. Martins, a quaint fishing village founded by Loyalists in 1783 and one of the prettiest hamlets along the Bay of Fundy shores. Have your photo taken in front of two covered bridges, the only spot in the world where two can be seen in one shot. Also, before returning to the ship, visit the impressive red sandstone sea caves, accessible by foot during low tide.

"Magnetic hill" is an optical illusion. If it were magnetism that moved the car, there would have to be a gigantic magnet behind the car. Or a moving magnet below the car. The only thing that is moving the car is gravity and that only pulls an object downward.

Another fantastic and interesting video. How do you two find such distinctive places? You keep enriching my bucket list! 😁 thanks! Regarding San Diego, Even after living here for almost 25 years, it seems like I haven’t found anything truly unique. But must see adventures would include the USS Midway (aircraft carrier), with the other ships nearby, old San Diego, gas lamp district, and the two zoos/ sea World. Lego Land is a nice place to visit, once and I mean only one time. There are a lot of great wineries in Temecula, a town north of San Diego on I-15.
