Located along the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick, Canada, Hopewell Rocks Park is both a geological and tidal wonder. Check out nature's sculpture gallery in the form of "flowerpot" rocks while waiting for the most unique phenomenon in the Bay of Fundy: tides, extreme tides. The high tide/low tide differential can occasionally be as high as 53.5 feet (16.3 meters). So head on over, buy your ticket, and go see for yourself!

We were warned, planning a geo day on the beach, to start to hang around the staircase well before the tide was due. If we missed the tide, we were to find the highest rock we could and get comfortable - it was going to take a while, like 10 hours.

On the flattest beaches the tide moves in at approx 30mph. Much faster than anyone can run.

Thx for great video. How many Maga Americans are swept away by the tide each summer? "Oh, that tide table doesn't apply to us." (BTW, Reaganite Repub here.) Hoping that Canadians do some heavy advertising to Fla and Tx.

Please tell me the rock on the right at 2:46 is named after a bear. It looks like a bear sitting down

That's a beautiful place. It's a pitty the water looks so dirty and not like the regular ocean. I assume it's that color due to the ocean floor in that area.

Cape Breton and Hopewell Cape are not in northeastern Canada. They are in southeastern Canada. Check a map.
