BBB pool care - Water 💦 Test and opinion
Subscribe so you can follow along and test your pool water interpret the test results (easy peasy, just match colors), and eventually see how to adjust the pool water chemistry, using mainly Bleach, Borax and / or Baking Soda.
I do always still leave a couple of Chlorine tablets in a floating dispenser to keep a constant flow of chlorine / sanitizer to ensure the chemistry never gets too out of whack and so I can sometimes go a few days without testing. You always want to have an idea of where you’re pool water is at as far as Chlorine, PH and Alkalinity levels and you’re good to go.
Remember, small changes to the chemistry at a time, it’s much easier to add more of something than to drain and refill the pool if you add too much, or perhaps have to buy more expensive chemicals to fix the issue. Better to be safe than sorry.
Also keep in mind it takes time for chemicals or additives to fully dissolve and disperse, you’ll most likely see an equalization of the levels a day or two after making a change so always add something, test and wait a day or two before retesting and adding anything else.
Keep watching I’ll post additional tests as often as I can by date so you can follow my procedure for a Crystal clear sanitized pool.
By the way, without a good filter you’ll be fighting a loosing battle as I discovered with my last 16’ round Intex. Invest in a good sand filter and you’ll thank yourself every summer!
