@NCWC2 casue the majority of the army was templars or knights hospitaller and seeing as the templars wore white, red cross thatd be easier to create than the Hospitaller one which is way more eomplicated.

guy is not stupid. Robin said so himself. by not killing the sheriff he tried to gain his loyalty and letting marian live again back to England. he knew she was doomed and there is not reason to why would guy (already branded a traitor) help king Richard when he is better off with prince John and the black nights. he's brave and smart, just not on the best side of the battle.

I doubt the king was stupid, though there was no reason to fight the Crusades but the belief that they were setting "their" Holy Land free (typical people thinking that God has given them the right to do what they want); the rash decision stuff is mostly BBC trying to add suspense and stuff.

Richard is stupid. Carter is cool. Robin is cute. Guy is also cute (in an evil kinda way). Vaisey is just plain evil.
