Also interviewed in this music profile are Chaz Jankel about the challenges of putting Dury's lyrics to music, and lighting technician Pip Foster on the stresses of touring.

@@areyoulocal6469 their communal album i bought was a botvhed job. chas’s viwepoint also. I bought it at the time because two albums werent enough and n france ye could not get the many singles. See. It was recorded in Nassau, Essex and only FUNKY DISCO POPS retained my attention.

Something I regret, not going to see Ian and the Blockheads back in the day. I met him years ago and he came over as a really likable guy. Norman Watt-Roy is my bass playing icon, saw him play with Wilco Johnson last week, fab.

Terrific documentary. Loved thi band. Unfortunately I was too young for concerts & so wish I'd seen them play. These concerts, especially the one in Germany was dynamite. You are sorely missed Ian Dury. Much love J.H.P ❤

Ian and the block heads were brilliant. Their album was epic. Clever Trevor and Blasto Patricia, my favourite tunes.
