he is a very heavy meter relying character since CS~ no matter mix ups or long combos all require rapid with him so yea. (i excluded CT cuz CT you could almost dash cancel outta everything to make things chain together lol)

Well, yeah, that's kinda how Blazblue works. There aren't many characters that can get 3.5-4k and over without Overdrive or using Meter in some way.

I would like to see him do an Overdrive Nightmare Edge combo and wall bounce them into a Black Onslaught, that'd be awesome. Might be too slow though.

nice combos indeed, I couldnt help but notice that the OD gauge stopped draining slightly during your combos. is that the hitstop?

I hope I'm not the only one here, but while I may get annoyed at the changes, I'm excited to see what people can pull off with new ragna. Hopefully CF will be out on console at some point...

I know that the Exceed Accel Distortion Drives don't have a minimum damage set like regular DD's, making them terrible combo enders, but is it possible for you to show some of them off? Maybe combos from them seeing as they automatically give you Active Flow (if that is even possible, perhaps via a Rapid Cancel or something?). Also, since it is a DD, does it steal health when Ragna uses it? By the way, great video! I like the variety here in the combo starters and their screen placement. It's pretty awesome how fast people are discovering combos, seeing as it is currently arcade exclusive.

Idk if you can RC an EA and I don't think you'd want to use EA early since it forces OD to end.

+Jourdal You can't RC an exceed accel, but the benefit to using it would be to get a decent ender (as in resetting neutral, not damage lol) when you don't have meter. that's about all I could think of

+Jourdal Forgot, the earlier you cancel OD the quicker you get it back, so that's the benefit. I think? I forget :x

+ShelledMenace The benefit is that you enter Active Flow after using an Exceed Accel. If you don't have Overdrive available and Active Flow is triggered, then your Overdrive's recovery time is vastly decreased. This means that ending overdrive with an EA can lead into having another overdrive ready within less than about ten seconds. It's great for characters like Ragna and Hakumen who are very dependent on their Overdrives. However, since AF can only be activated once per round, EA become less practical after you have used up your AF.

+gamedefier Ah wow I didnt know AF was only once per round. Also Im guessing you meant to say OD recovery is increased when you enter AF right? Just cause what you said about quickly recovering OD wouldnt make sense unless you just typoed. lol

Honestly i didn't enjoy so much the OD combos, always ending with devoured by darkness (wich is damage nerfed) and always ending outside corner even if it start from corner. However i found pretty strange that astral combos are so easy to confirm.

+Jourdal His damage mostly. That was what made ragna good cuz his mixup is worse than the higher tiers. His footsies are the same so he cant be terrible I guess that was an exaggeration on my part :-|

+Peter Parker Oh well, damage nerfs across the board but its probably because: -CH adds bonus damage (first hit) -Active flow increases every moves damage by 10% damage under those circumstances end up comparable to before or more in some cases.

+Jourdal I guess thats understandable. I didnt know active flow gave that big of a damage boost. I'm not a huge fan of active flow but i can live with it i guess.
