Please I would like to ask an other question if you don't mind. In an official exam ,teachers asked what is synonymous with this expression " looking or smelling delicious" later on in the answer ,they suggested " mouth watering". I found that weird. Please ,can you give your point of view and some clarifications concerning this answer .

@@fairouzfaith6890 We can use 'mouth watering' to talk about food - if it's really good, it make your mouth water in anticipation of eating it.

Listening from Japan, I got surprised that many people in the world thought that nuclear weapons quickened the end of WWⅡ because they were symbols of evil in Japan. I felt it was also necessary to consider historical events from various views.

In my opinion politics are one of the hardest topics jn the world. Many people tries to move on. Political people should be more caring to people and pay attention to them. It's the work of government i think. We live in capitalism system we can do everything like getting rich. But why should we have the government? Many projects were dangerous to humanity. It's dangerous nowadays too. We should take care of ourselves and close people. Thanks BBC

@bbclearningenglish
@bbclearningenglish Жыл бұрын
Hey Fairouz. If you were using the present perfect, you would say 'what has happened...?'. However, if we are talking about a finished time in history (like the events in this programme), we would say “What happened to the the users of contact lenses” using the past simple.

"Users" are not what we are going to ask of, it's just "happening" which is a singular word and we should say " what has happened" and totally we don't have "what have happend" at all.
