Incredible arrangement. Robert Plant, other than being a great musician himself, throughout his career has always had the fine skill of picking great musicians to keep his music in constant evolution and discovery. He could live 1000 years and never repeat himself. He is never old. A living lesson for new generations.

@@lindaslattery8341 Hi 👋 My first thought is if you really know this band and the best lead singer ever.... then you know they were non-conformists. They rarely gave interviews or did the regular route of album and concert promotion, primarily because they didn't have to. It's clear they had immense respect for and a keen understanding of their fan-base. That being said, I don't find it 100% out of the odds that this could be Robert Plant saying hi to a fan. Stranger things have been known to happen.... remember Motley Cruë, they partied with their fans after concerts... If however you know something that I don't know about this account then report it. In the meantime I'll happily go thru my day (which happens to be a Monday 😲) thinking the incomparable Mr. Robert Plant said Hi to me 😊 👍

Eerie, dark, haunting and filled with foreboding--this has now become my favorite of Robert's solo reworking of Zep songs. Alison playing a bit of Friends (a song I've always felt was oddly ominous) was the perfect inclusion to this excellent rendition of When The Levee Breaks. Robert's voice is still magnificent and strong and Alison Krauss and the band are outstanding. 2 points I would like to add. The first, in my humble opinion, as rock stars age, so must their style reflect the maturity of their craft and years. Plant has done this so well throughout his career. He always nods to his first successes as a musician with Led Zep but has always allowed room for growth with time passing. A true musical icon. There will be a rip in the fabric of the universe when he passes through beyond this material plane. Second, Alison Krauss needs to be raised up in her own right. She is an amazing vocalist and musician. I have followed her since her beginnings in Union Station. A voice that leaves you breathless. My heart always flutters a little when I see her, and it pounds when I hear her sing. The joining of the two was absolute genius. I love everything they have done together.

@@mike8984ify I used to annoy my Zep loving friends as a folkie by saying they were a Folk band! Of course they were! They combined Old English and US Blues/ folk songs (which were Mostly European anyway) and threw in some nonsense of their own and Voila! Best band Yet! Then Robert added Moroccan and Indian and gawd knows what else. and we have magic like this.

Yesterday the cargo ship ran into the Francis Scott Key bridge. A sight that I saw many times yesterday. Today, because I like this song, it automatically came up on KZfaq. I heard this song of impending disaster and all I could hear was, "If it keeps on coming, the bridge is going to go" with the violin making the sounds of metal breaking apart. This is an amazing song that sounds prophetic today.

When I was a kid, the levees in New Orleans would break often. If a tugboat touched it or a hurricane hit- that levee broke and we evacuated. I was in the 4th grade and our window at school faced the Mississippi River. We could see the freighter rolling by. One day when we had come home after a hurricane, our teacher said, "Look out that window. One day, the levee is gonna break and all of this will be under water." It happened when Hurricane Katrina hit 40 years later. Every time I hear this great song, that's what I remember like it was yesterday

I got to see them on tour a bit over 10 years ago when they came through Raleigh NC right after their collaboration album came out....WOW. I think that was Plant's first time back on stage in a while and it showed because he was fired up. Just prowling the stage like a predator, completely comfortable, big smile on his face and loving every second of it. It was amazing. They did this song and it was the highlight of the show.
