The government claims it's tightening security on its borders.
But the BBC visited the country's busiest crossing post and witnessed migrants crossing unchallenged.
It's a way in for those seeking a better life - but an easy target, too, for criminal gangs.

The number of quantities of products that are being produced in our country are so vital for our economy. If Zimbabwe stops buying and consuming our products most companies will close and many will be jobless. The duty being charged for some of the products is simply ridiculous. Both governments must agree to duty free movements of goods like basic necessities like food etc . Most of the people crossing are crossing on a daily basis . They aren't crossing to stay here.

South Africa is a failed country, this massive illegal immigration that we experience is due to the fact that government doesn't give a hoot. Before 2005 foreigner would be found in big cities, right now you find the even in the smallest towns even in rural areas. They have completely messed up Johannesburg and railway lines.
