Isn't it a jab at Osborne's cosy relations with the Chinese establishment, given the selling off of British assets?
@writeangles60423 жыл бұрын
No.
@chindit67843 жыл бұрын
Yes but the average Conservative and media will focus on whatever way they can style it to their advantage rather than the substance of the conservatives selling of British assets to the ccp

Racism is the belief that one race is superior to another. How is playing kung fu fighting a statement of white superiority/ Asian inferiority?

@@hizzyvoltaire3764 From 1949 to 1978 China's population increased by 77.7% Between 1952 and 1975 China's industry more than doubled in size. So which is it?
@A_298864 жыл бұрын
@@SinnedNogara there can be population growth *and* mass genocide at the same time... Also the people's Republic of china had invaded countries like Tibet and Taiwan, and by the borders of their own maps, grown to encompass areas of the nationalist government hence growing their population. And the reason their industry doubled was because of the ccp's ever lowering laws on cheap labour and their ever lowering human rights for the workplace.
@benjaminheim7354 жыл бұрын
@@A_29886 lol china "invaded" taiwan, that is a new one. As far as I know, the nationalists were the ones who invaded taiwan when they ran from an army of peasants like little cowards. Mao did more good for china than any other historical figure in the last 500 years. Not the least of it being reunifying the disparate fiefdoms into a state, ending feudalism, doubling life expectancy, increasing education funding by 1000%, 6.8 percent yearly economic growth, ending opium addiction, electrification, drastically reducing illiteracy, elevating women, introducing birth control and many more. And what are you even talking about with the cheap labor. Are you confused? That all happened well after Mao died. When Mao was in power often times workers themselves controlled their pay through workers brigades and councils. If a party boss did try to rip off the workers, they could find themselves on the wrong side of a struggle session very quickly. If you want to learn about Mao, go to China and ask older people about him. The western popular conception of him is entirely skewed.

Unlike his time when McDonnell did the finances of the Greater London Council in 1982 and was sacked by his friend because of his incompetence in handling the financial affairs of the GLC. And the ironically Corbyn made him his shadow chancellor!

Everybody should read about what Mao had to say. Very intelligent man who made grave errors in his handling of the agricultural sector on China.
@jackmaitland84962 жыл бұрын
Not really. It doesn't take much intelligence to recognise that Lysenkoism was wrong, it had already been denounced by the USSR. Plus, he still exported grain and denied foreign aid even when he knew what was happening. He was just entirely callous.
