Agreed. You can tell he does his homework, puts the time to do a thorough research and as result doesn't ask the same questions over and over again, but instead asks more personal, intimate, yet not too personal questions - it's like it's personal enough to get an authentic answer, but not too personal to push the person away. That's how you do it

I have a top 300 favorite movies list, and only three of them before this one made the list, but I am not sure where to put this latest as I watched it with an autistic boy who had to go to the bathroom twice and he sits for awhile. What I do know is that it made the list and was better than the other two by Daniel Craig, but I am not sure if it beat "Goldeneye." 140) 007: Goldeneye (1995) 191) 007: Quantum of Solace (2008) 249) 007: Skyfall (2012) So what I can say is that Daniel Craig made the top 200 for sure. I think it is going to fall out above 140 and making this the best series of James Bond ever.

@@jeaninepalstra1684 Lol the old Bond films and portrayals are at least 60 percent nostalgia, I much prefer craig's depiction and series, like maybe compared to films in the 60s the old bond films were great but watching them now in today's standards, the plot is relatively rudimentary, the fights and gun play are awful even the villains can't really compare, we have mads rami malek, mads mikkelsen and christoph waltz and even javier bardem. The only really bad film on Craig's era was quantum of solace, that shit was unsalvageable. Like I understand movies tend to have plot armor for main characters and that is inevitable, but watching the old bond films made be realize how insane plot armors old movies had.

Layer Cake is how James Bond happened, there’s the scene in it where Colin Meaney is sitting down with xxxx character as he chooses a gun to perform an assignation of Jimmy Price, on selecting the specific one Craig proceeds to move around the apartment in a secret agent mimic ‘on the original dvds Meaney’s character references ‘ah, for fucksake, give him a gun and he thinks he’s James Bond’, those early dvds where withdrawn and replaced with an edited version removing that specific reference

You've either made that up or are remembering incorrectly. I worked for Odeon Cinemas from 2001 to 2008 as a projectionist. Layer Cake was released in October 2004. Never mind DVDs, I watched the original cinema print of Layer Cake and there is no such reference to Bond in that scene. Meaney's (who plays Gene in the film) line when XXXX picks up the gun is "Ah for fucksake" followed by "Here, let me see if it's loaded". So unless you are suggesting they added the line for the DVD release and then recalled the DVDs to replace them with an edited version at high costs (Layer Cake had a relatively modest budget to begin with), then like I mentioned above, you are either mistaken or telling porkies.

The cinematography, the action sequences, made the movies way more darker that it ever was. Loved how in the end of the interview Daniel talked about rarity of James Bond movies. You've added a part of your personality and life to the cinema history, Mr. Craig, and it is a valuable input. Thank you Daniel Craig. One of the great thing about the new Bond was that it was made in a period when audiences got bore with high-tech gadgets and silly actions, and began appreciating the same character being in a more realistic world. The Craig films feel more like Jason Bourne than the James Bond we know and love. I hope with Daniel’s successor they make Bond fun again. 2015’s ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’ proved that a Moore Bond film still works in this century so no excuse

The train scene with Vesper in Casino Royale is one of my favorites. The dialogue was awesome.

God, I’m really gonna miss his portrayal, but I’m just so happy he came back to do one more. He’s genuinely my favorite bond, and the next bond actor is gonna have some BIG shoes to fill. Can’t wait to see the films that Daniel Craig does going forward; he’s an amazing actor.

100% with you on this, I'm hopeful about the next Bond, but Craig's legacy is a big one right now

My favourite Bind of all, and dragged the franchise off it’s knees. Such a gent in this interview too.

Daniel redefined Bond, which in itself is an amazing achievement. Pealing back the character to a more nostalgic Bond. Best Bond since Connery.
