It was a sad day for me when they closed Allied carpets on the way in to Bolton. I used to burst in to song every time, at the sight of the sign from the A666.

I never got those two. I was the right age, my 20's but it just went whoosh over my head. Ah well, they sure didn't need me cheering them on to make it large in local UK comedy.

they did do a lot of stuff that was just nonsensical, almost dadaistic, it didn’t always make me laugh, but I loved the craziness and the creativity of it. And a lot of it still makes me laugh to the point of losing control, and I couldn’t even explain why. I really enjoyed the physical comedy of the two of them too.
