Normaly the polite way to eat at a buffet type sitting is estimate how many pieces there are and divide person, so you never take more than your share of the food, if the others do not want their full share then and only then can others eat it. There's such a thing as gluttony, rushing to finish all the food yourself because you don't want to share.

My first thing ,i noticed was the son saying you all prepared, give your girlfriend the respect by saying thank you for bringing the chicken and beer,then even if your dad didnt like the beer, he drank it ,but was disrespectful about what he said about it,as always you tried to eat it all, 2023 should be a year where you can learn to slow down, espeacially around your girlfriend
