We are delighted to share the tremendous success of the BC Halal Food Fest 2024, held in Surrey, British Columbia, on June 22nd & 23rd. This year's festival was a spectacular celebration of cultural diversity, culinary excellence, and community unity, drawing an impressive crowd of over 72,000 attendees. The intersections of different groups together in this space was beautiful to witness and watch solidarity and awareness grow among our communities.
Highlights from the BC Halal Food Fest 2024 include:
Over 40 Halal Food Vendors: A diverse array of vendors offering tantalizing Halal cuisine from around the world, satisfying every taste bud.
30+ Market Vendors: Showcasing cultural artifacts and unique merchandise, creating a vibrant marketplace atmosphere.
Congratulation to Karavan Meats for Winning the Best Food/Drink Vendor of 2024 with their delicious Korean BBQ & Philly Cheese Steaks!
Live Stage Performances:
Canadabke, a Palestinian Arab dance group, captivating the audience with their dynamic performances and showcasing their rich cultural heritage.
Ayub Salahuddin and Shifayat Ali, delivering mesmerizing musical vocal performances that resonated throughout the festival grounds.
Cultural Daf performance, bringing the rhythmic beats and cultural significance of Daf to life on stage.
Toronto-based performers Ilyas Mao and Ali Soulful, adding their unique vocals only music to the festival lineup.
In addition to these cultural and culinary delights, attendees enjoyed an array of carnival rides provided by Shooting Star Amusements, adding an extra layer of excitement and fun to the event.
The BC Halal Food Fest 2024 was a true testament to the community's spirit and shared values, fostering unity and appreciation for cultural diversity.
