I think with Vel's range he's a lot more forgiving than Brand, not much, but definitely a bit more forgiving. I hope you find success with him! He's one of my faves

Try out Brand he is easy to play. You poke with W 90% of the time (which is really easy to hit), E if you missed the enemy but hit minions or in some cases use Q to either directly poke or set something ablaze and then use E again. Some supports can outheal or outtank your dmg early on even when you hit 90% of your spells (Nami, Kench, ...) but you still get manaflow stacks, gold and create pressure. Your combo is E > Q > W or you can cast Q first and then while it travels E the enemy for a stun (doesn´t work if they are too close) > W. Once you hit lvl 6 you can full combo adc/support 100% to 0. You need to remember with R that it needs to jump between targets so if you are alone with someone get close to them so that the ult can bounce to you and back. If you see the enemy staying close together (even better with minions near too) feel free to use your ult as poke to get their hp to halve and maybe even lose minions at the same time. If you feed early versus squishy bot laners it doesn´t really matter because you can still easily kill them and get their shutdowns so don´t worry and play rather aggressive. For items you go Liandrys (if they are full squishys you can go ludens instead) > Zhonyas/Void > Void/Zhonyas and pick up oblivion orb if needed sometimes after your mythic. Your ap ratios are pretty bad so building raw ap doesn´t do much.

Brand is such an agressive champ, tough to really make full use out of his set of abilities, and his movement speed is way higher than other battle mages if I'm not wrong. Sorry it took me a month to read your comment LMAO, so distracted. 🤣 I unfortunately uninstalled LoL yesterday because I had a glitch in my mini laptop that made it crashed out of the game around minute 7 - 8 and always returned to minute 13 - 14. People were flamming me so hard because most of the games were ranked Solo/Q so I decided to reinstall it and I couldn't because my time schedule is also broken, I've tried to fix the date, minutes, hours and even seconds and nothing works. Hopefully I can soon play it again to enjoy the game and don't cause harm to any player 😔

To be fair, recently he plays mostly mid! But he does play a lot of support as well. I should've pointed that out

thats why horizon > shadowflame (at least on ludens xerath, im not a velkoz player but should also work for him cause their abilities are very similar)
