I used to work in a warehouse in Brandsmart where we had forklifts, natural gas containers, and metal shelving (the entire warehouse had huge metal racks) You have to be comfortable handling and being around metal. You are bound to ding yourself here and there. Just be careful, and have common sense. You Have To Have Your Wits About You working with metal and heavy equipment. Not Just For You, but Everyone Else Around You. You Have to Have Situational Awareness. Always Look Around You, even If you aren't on a forklift, High-Low, or other equpment. You have to work as though someone is always around you. Even if you are by yourself.

Don't you have to check to see if the stackers are cracked? Do they have a shop where they are replaced when needed?

Don’t be intimidated. I’ve lashed barges and ships by myself. It’s a lot of moving heavy steel just watch out and lash and you’ll go home safely. It’s a bad ass job.
