Dirt Merchant is A-Line's big brother. It's so big, it's rated Pro-Line... but can I clear it?

This exactly! I'm also disabled and I totally agree. I'd love to go mountainbiking but I know I can't even feasibly try (severe visual impairment + mobility issues make it a very bad idea for me to try, probably bad for anyone else on and near the trail too). There are lots of other things like skiing that I have the same problem with. I know I shouldn't try these things logically, but I still can't get it out of my head. At least watching these videos I can get sort of an idea of what it's like to do these things and that's such a big help. Even though I still want to go mountainbiking and skiing and all sorts of other stuff like that.

@@parker5323 I haven't, I didn't know they were available. I live in the Netherlands, which is mostly flat, so I'd have to go abroad to go skiing or mountainbiking in nature in any case, which complicates things. Do you know what types of adaptive programs are available and where?

It’s refreshing to watch someone I consider and absolute shredder to still go through the same emotions I do on my rides. Thanks for keeping it real. And hey, congrats on really pulling it together and trusting in yourself.

Everyone does its crazy weather they are a pro or a first timer its pretty funny. Mental strength is key look at something but not too long seems like when you do that fear starts to take over and your more likely not to try it. Its nice when you can have someone to tow ya in that alone has helped me progress this year way more than i could have imagined.

Coming back to mtb after 15 years after the accident was scary. I was out of shape and will to ride even basic city trails… got myself an ebike to be “out” more and started using less and less of the support. Once I was comfortably doing 40-50km on a rather heavy bike I got myself an enduro bike (giant reign sx) and started riding trails near me - not even close to what you have there! But after a month I signed up for an enduro race and despite being last (I wasn’t last on any of the sections but overall time combined I was last) I was happy as I managed to prep for it within 2 months and finished the entire thing within the time constraints I was given :) 45km and 1700m elevation gain in 5.5h :D beforehand I was watching a ton of videos on KZfaq, including yours! All of them helped me be in a proper mindset and understand that it’s okay if even trying a feature require a mindset and some good preparation. We’re no longer 15-20 yo where you “just go”. Thanks to your videos (and many others!) I learned to find a best approach to learning new features. Today I was helping someone else clear two new jumps :) it felt good to be on the other side of the tow ;D

A few things I really like about your videos is that they're not just all the highlighted clips, you talk about real life problems you face when riding and you're not afraid to say things like I wasn't feeling to good about myself and mental blocks. you then go on to show us how you move on, get your head in check, come back then and over come it. we go through this to so we can relate to it a lot, we learn from it and it helps us to progress so I just wanted to say thank you and great work over coming your fear, absolutely great work :)

Thanks for the videos, much appreciated. And congrats on your victory over step ups, (even if the container jump is there for next year) I've been watching the step up situation for quite a few vids now and reckon that you've found a strategy that works for mindset. Recently, I've been finding out about how the subconscious mind, and beliefs that we hold in there, and how they are massively powerful in our behaviour. For me, this includes how I go about it on the mtb. So it seems that the subconscious is a garden, and our job is to maintain it. What we let grow in the garden, shapes what happens on your life. So if there are any weeds in the garden, you can remove them and replace them with helpful beliefs, beliefs that like the ones that you reinforced did with repeated runs through trails that you rode really well. It looks like there are other ways too to get in and setup your subconscious to work together with your conscious mind. It may sound a bit intellectual, but having tried out some of this stuff, it is hugely powerful. There's some great vids on youtube talking about how to it, the ones that I've watched include discussions on the work of Joseph Murphy, who has a best selling book about it, and Neville Goddard. There is a guy that goes into depth on KZfaq talking about these and other authors in the area. His name is Jospeh Rodriguez ( his work is great although I'm in no way affiliated with him). Anyway, I love your vids. Its also great seeing trails in BC where I spent a almost year in my twenties. So I guess this comment is not so much about tech setup or bike parks (which I appreciate), but is more about mind setup for mtb. btw. this is my wife's login, not mine, So Keep strong, remain upright and well done. Cheers Greg
