This is a beginner to intermediate demonstration of printing a drypoint etching from recycled plastic food containers without a press

A drypoint print is made by using scribes or etching needles to engrave line work into a piece of plastic from a lettuce container. The engraved plastic is then inked, and wiped, which clears ink from the upper surface of the plate, and leaves ink embedded in the incised line work. The plate is pressed to paper, and the ink in the lines is transferred to the paper to create a drypoint etching print.
