Is there a follow up on how it did? Were you able to compare the standard 500 vs the 500x? Wondering if the higher gear of the x makes it difficult to fight with a larger tuna bites to turn the handle and if the lower gear might be better?

@@seaweedmike That reel held up nicely, took it to Florida to fight sailfish and king mackerel. I did not have any luck on the bluefin tuna this year, YET. but I was able to land 30-40 pound yellowfin tuna EASY on this one.

Hi, nice unboxing, have a question, how is the castability on that reel? I saw there’s no cast control.

They cast insane....I can out cast my buddy with a spinner..yes he not very good.
