Why can't WB just give us a Loony Tunes movie without celebrities and random sports being thrown in? I'd love to have a animated movie were the tunes are the star of the picture.

Tweety's film about flying around the world (can't remember the title), Daffy Duck's version of the Christmas Carol or "Rabbits Run" starring Bugs and Lola. All direct to DVD from the last 15 or so years, all arguably good.

It would’ve been better if this movie was made into an anthology TV series where the Looney Tunes go into different WB movies similar to what's in the movie but actually used as a scenario for each episode. Examples include: Speedy Gonzales in a Tom & Jerry cartoon Elmer Fudd hunting for Yogi Daffy as Green Loontern on Krypton The possibilities are clearly endless.

While the CG of the Tunes looks well made for the most part, (although not as good as the theatrical CG shorts) my problem with it is that they don’t give a legitimate reason as to why they needed to be CG. I was having a blast with the 2D animation, and then I sighed and remembered, “oh yeah, this is a Hollywood movie, there is no way they will stay committed to it.” It really feels like a decision forced onto the filmmakers by Warner Bros because they still have the mindset that “hand drawn animation isn’t profitable” (even though audiences won’t care if a movie is CG or 2D as long as the story is good). They don’t even make a self-aware joke about it, which is what I expected. The second SpongeBob movie (which was overall a better movie than this) had a better amount of 2D animation versus the CG. The CG for the Looney Tunes would have looked better if there wasn’t realistic textures and pupils, because it would have looked more like a video game (which is what it is supposed to be). Just my two cents.

As a WB fan, I actually enjoyed both Space Jams and the animation techniques they used. But I can understand why people were disappointed with the sequel for it’s basic plot and LeBron’s performance. To me that’s not why I loved the original, I loved how it payed tribute to both the Looney Tunes and the NBA giving how my older brother, Jaylen Morris, is a has played for the NBA. The sequel does just that but expand the love to Warner Bros, the plot on the love between a father and his son also hits home for me, due to me and my family losing members of our families in the years of 2019-2021. I hope those who liked the movies like myself understand why I appreciate A New Legacy, and understand why some people didn’t like it.

11:46 To be fair, I think that was the point. Whether we like it or not, Hollywood is now pulling a trend in turning cartoon characters that are hand-drawn and making them CG characters. The Looney Tunes are clearly aware of that and clearly don't like it; especially Bugs. It even gets to a point where it feels like commentary on how restrictive CGI can be for cartoons as oppose to letting them be loose and expressive in 2D. Just an observation.

Even though I grew up in the 90s and loved the Looney Tunes, I didn't see "Space Jam" until a few years after it premiered. But even then, I still enjoyed the movie for its crazy concept, seeing live-action people interacting with the Tunes, and the aliens. It's a guilty pleasure nowadays. As for "A New Legacy," it was flawed but fair in my book. I absolutely loved the animation here and how creative they got with the various worlds, along with providing us some classic 2D antics with the Looney Tunes. And while I can understand people finding the Tunes' CGI forms uncanny, I actually thought the textures on them were well done and provided a great contrast to the hand-drawn look. At least it was an interesting experiment. The story however was rather dull, but not enough to make me hate the film. Even then, I also would've preferred it if this movie focused more on the WB cyberverse. It was awesome seeing these iconic characters interact with stuff like "The Matrix," "Casablanca," and DC comics, and I really wish we could've seen more of that. But at the end of the day, it was an alright experience at the big screen.

I'm glad that some of the animators from Disney, Don Bluth, DreamWorks and Warner Brothers collaborate together ❤ to worked on Space Jam 2 A New Legacy. I do wished them the best of luck. I do feel sorry for the character designer Dave Alvarez for not being credited on this film and he should be credited. I do respect your opinion on the animation and I find it as good as its predecessor. I'm bit OK with the Looney Tunes characters in CGI animated and I wished they would've kept them 2d animated in live action much like it's predecessor. For me personally, I had fun with both this and the original Space Jam. I wouldn't call them great movies, but they have their fair share of enjoyable moments and the animation is very well presented in both films. I think it's one of those movies where you have to turn off your brain and just enjoy it for what it is because it's not meant to be taken seriously. It's just meant to be a fun popcorn movie, and that's exactly what I viewed it as. But I can understand you not liking it though.

@@scoutart1508 Yep. The Black Cauldron. Thief and the Cobbler, Tom and Jerry the Movie (1992), Quest for Camelot. I don't know if Brave should be included because although it suffered production problems along with the original director getting fired by John Lassitor, it was well received, despite it not living up to PIXAR's other masterpieces like Toy Story Finding Nemo or The Incredibles. I think The Spongebob Movie Sponge On the Run should be included because from what I've heard, it sounded like executive meddling to me unless AniMat can shine some light on the subject if it was a victim of executive meddling.

Look I grew up watching Space Jam as a kid in the 90s, but I’ve seen it as an adult and I know it’s no Oscar movie. But Space Jam feels more in line with the Lego Movie as far as how it handled it commercialism whereas Space Jam 2 feels more in line with the Emoji movie. I honestly feel like Space Jam was a one and done, but Space Jam 2 could’ve been way better than what we got, even for what it is.

It's kinda of anticlimactic for me ever since I've watched the Space Jam Sequel, I thought I liked it, but then I realized something that I haven't thought before: "What else is there?" The sad part about it is that I have such high expectation of this film that I was willing to watch it on HBO Max when no one would watch it with me at Theater, especially how I was feeling very upset about the new Cruella live action movie that I detest, and it's post credit scene which you have know idea how that part really ticks me off so much. There was also a reason why I wanted to see the Space Jam sequel: It's to listen to Jeff Bergman's voice Bugs Bunny once again; Sure there's these new Looney Tunes cartoon that's very well received, but with Eric Bauza taking Jeff's place as the new voice of Bugs, I can never take him seriously, nor could I look past his recent works, and if I want my fill of Looney Tunes, I rather just stick with the Wabbit Production cartoons thank you very much. My apologies if I was ranting or anything, I just felt like all this was for nothing, on the brightside though is that I relive the moment of watching Fantasia and even watch The Thief and The Cobbler: The Recobbled Cut.✌🙏

Flawed and dumb? Yes, but I enjoyed it more than the first one personally: Lebron actually TRIED to act, the Looney Tunes had less ‘tude and more Looney behavior, the animation for most of the film was great, surprisingly sweet moments with Bugs, Cheadle was clearly having fun, and it wasn’t trying to pretend it was something other than a dumb popcorn movie. I can better stomach a movie like this than a movie that goes out of its way to be dark and depressing and/or has a messed up worldview like a certain other recent release!

As a lover of crossovers, I enjoyed seeing countless IPs in the crowd. For the future, I'm hoping they bring it back honestly. There's still a lot to explore in this world. If there was a sequel to "Back in Action," I hope they use the Server Verse and explore what that world can offer. True, there were prominent franchises to consider, like The Matrix, Harry Potter, or DC, but there's a plethora of other films, shows or games that need exploring.
