So of the person likes the gift, they can just throw out the gift receipt and never need to know what it cost. Or if they don’t like it, they can quietly go return it without the gifter ever having to find out. I think it’s a fantastic concept and I wish we had it here.

Both sides of my family have German ancestry, and there are so many things we do that are German, I’m finding out with the internet. 1) The air quality of the house must be properly controlled at all times. We need fresh air, but not The Damp. 2) Gifts are usually practical. My mom loves to give clothes. Yes, I hand the wrapping boxes right back to her to reuse. 3) Tea is the cure for everything. Cramps? Tea. Have a cold? Tea? Didn’t sleep well? Tea. Headache? Tea. But coffee and cake is the ultimate snack or dessert! 4) Frugality, organization, planning, practicality, and hard work are really important. 5) Men and women each have their contributions to make to the household and community. Both are important and valued. Women can do home repairs, and men can cook. Don’t be ridiculous. 6) Enjoy the weather while it is warm. Too much of the year is too cold. You might as well walk or bike if it’s only a few kilometers someplace. Better for the environment and your health. 7) Dark whole grain breads have more flavor and they’re better for you. 8) Cheese, eggs, fresh meats, produce, all are best purchased directly from a farm. Grow a garden if you can. 9) Children behave when they are properly frightened. (Yes, I had therapy and tried not to pass that on!) 10) As my grandmother used to say, “A little each day, and it’ll all get done.”

I have watched this dude for at least five days on my fyp, and love it. And JUST NOW i realize this is not 2 different people but the same with another fit, because of how diferent the charactera feel i didnt realize they were the same person, really good impersonation

From experience my UK family put the least effort into cards and basically just added name and signed them (with xxx). German part definitely wrote a lot more. Recap, wishes and so on. Not sure if that's to be generalised

I love these videos as I've spent a few years in Germany. I miss tho some topics e.g.: that Germans love to do the same thing on the same time. So the city becomes empty for hours or days because they are at the same event. All of them.

The "3 times" using those specific fingers to make 3 was a great german reference

The message is clear! I need more German friends. I've been asking my family for "nothing" for years since I don't celebrate my birthday. Every year without fail, they get me a thoughtful gift, not realizing that was being completely honest with them about what I would like
