Fifteen-year-old Juliet Doherty has performed at Radio City Music Hall and New York City Center. She appears with the Radio City Rockettes' Christmas Spectacular, and, just this year, was awarded the Gold Medal in the Junior Women's division of the Youth America Grand Prix, one of the world's most revered ballet competitions. Doherty's passion and accessibility as a performer is inspiring young girls and others worldwide.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxABQ, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxABQ event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
