This is not about withdrawing from the world, but about rediscovering our place in it. It is about finding a center of calm and clarity amid the chaos, a sanctuary of peace that we carry within us wherever we go. The call to “be still” is not merely a call to physical quietude; it is an invitation to a deeper, more profound state of awareness. It is a call to quiet the mind, to let go of the incessant chatter, and to awaken to the presence that is always there, always waiting to be recognized.

Last month I went hiking in the snow. When I was immersed in the forest I closed my eyes for a couple minutes, it was peaceful, no sounds , nobody was there. I felt part of the forest. I imagined that the trees, the snow and the birds were my brothers or sisters. I just let my body to feel part of the nature. It was a beautiful moment of silence.

Finding time to be silent is not hard. Exercising in the stillness of morning before sunrise. Enjoying a meal in silence with a loved one and candlelight. Walking at the park. Laying in bed in the morning or evening and enjoying the peacefulness of doing nothing in the dark when the world is in quiet repose. Pausing during the day for one minute of breathing and listening to my hair grow. Soft music can drown out irritating noises. Earplugs can dampen others. Do what needs to be done with what I have, wherever I am, to restore my peace and tranquility. Thank you Brian for another delicious, transformative moment of awareness.

I write this to anyone who might doubt they are in fact God. 11years ago I had hit rock bottom and just wanted to die and was contemplating how. I had ask God to prove he existed if noting else then by striking me dead during a lighting storm I was standing in. But he did not. The next day I found myself laying in the woods still enquiring did he infact exist. And he answered loud and clear. Saying to me in my head. YOU ARE GOD. Due to my Christian up ringing I though this blasphemy. But I still new it to be true some how. Here I set 11years later but getting closer to embodying that which I know I am. I heard someone say something yesterday that felt so true. And I had failed to be able to describe it like so.. Think of ourselves as baby gods who need to learn how to yield our power in a way as to not do harm to others. Before we can be given such power. ❤

@missygrrl most Christian churches skip over this scripture. There's also "lie upon your bed and be still" ,(somewhere in psalms). It's not easy to do in our very verbal society. Exactly because it's so simple..just take a few minutes at first to sit and do nothing. Probably will feel uncomfortable. Then add on a few more and keep adding until finally you feel the joy and peace bubble up from inside of you where God lives and breathes and has his being. It is wonderful.❤ much love to you

I did feel the "getting lost in thought" kind of way. I love getting into this level because I feel a deeper connection to my conscience mind. I do have trouble sitting completely still because I start to feel an itch, or a muscle feeling "weird". I will need to work on that part.

I used to think stillness meat not moving. But Now I understand it is not following and becoming a thought. Stillness is sitting in the observer of thoughts. You can jog and be still.

Brian, you do an excellent job st explaining this. And....it is difficult to explain to others who have yet to awaken. I have been in this place you speak of for many years. And something that I have come to...is taking this stillness to the depth of the mind. The thinking aspect of it and quite quickly...once in silence....found that all thinking can and does stop in that moment...no matter how long the moment might be. Real stillness comes when the mind is no longer thinking. Yes, that's correct. No thoughts. Once the mind is stilled and thought is gone, there in lies the Presence of I Am and the Peace of God! And this comes to me very quickly with truthfully no effort at all. This is the point of connecting to one's self. I Start every day this way without fail. And it's natural, normal and real. I go into my walking closet and sit in a chair, close the door so most sound is gone. And then sit still for a few moments. Interestingly....there is no real silence. Because when you are in your Presence....you will notice a sound that is like a frequency type sound. Like something generated from energy of some source. I have heard that sound over all my years from time to time and as I age, and become more aware of the I Am Presence within me....I Am now in tune with that constantly! It is always there, always has been and always will be. I believe this to be coming from the Source of all that is. And it's behind everything else...constantly. It's not that it comes and goes....its our awareness that comes and goes. How distracted are we with what is going on around us in our world. I go to sleep at night in the Presence of this....and wake up with it as well. And is....all through my day. Wondering Brian.....have you encountered the I Am Teachings? I heard you mention The Power of Now! Extremely Profound! What about A Course In Miracles. Thanks for this video....I Am sending it to others I share with! Oh...and CS Lewis....the Great Divorce! Excellent!!! Thanks again brother! I Am!
