I guess I just don't want to spend hours and hours reliving the down moments as I edit my videos. I try to talk about the sad moments after they happen, but not necessarily film them in the moment. It's hard to keep the balance of real vs. positive. I'm definitely still learning.

One of my mentors at church taught me the trip for guac and it is hands down my favorite kitchen trick. Save your seed and put it into your bowl of guac. It will stay fresh for several days. Same thing for keeping a half of a avocado fresh - keep the side with the seed in it and wrap in plastic wrap or put in a ziplock bag.

Whoever needs a guacamole hack, you can come up with your own guac container. Smush the guac into the bottom of the container and try to get out any air bubbles or air pockets. Air makes it turn brown. Then take a piece of plastic wrap and lay it down on top of it and smooth it out covering any open spots. Cover with an airtight lid. The plastic wrap helps it. If it starts to turn, you can scoop off that top layer and all is good.

It’s nice to have a day off Meghan and it’s ok to do it, it revives and refreshes you which in turn is good for the kids, it’s also nice as a grandma to have the kids for a day and enjoy that whilst you know that your daughter is having a day off. It’s good for everyone !

I grew up with both grandmothers and a great aunt nearby, and it was always a treat to do an overnight or weekend with them. They always made us fun meals and we had new toys to play with. And there were always lots of M&M's. I have so many fond memories of staying with them, and I'm sure my parents enjoyed the down time too. I grew up not far from Ocean Grove, and there is nothing better than a beach side restaurant after a day in the sand. This whole video has been a nostalgic blast from the past and I thank you.

I enjoy your music selections in your videos! You are such a planner, and I love to see how thorough you are as your prepare for outings and trips. I do the same thing. We went camping over Independence Day and I made a bunch of lists and prepared food in advance. Looks like it was a good day at the beach. Glad you got some time with other moms!

I'm glad you had a great day. I love the Jersey shore and I'm always looking for snacks to take to the beach. I'm going to try that granola and ranch dip. They both look delicious. Don't feel guilty about taking a day for yourself. Everyone needs to reboot so they can be a better person.

Yes you need it, and yes you deserve it. I never took the time for me when my children were young, and I always encourage it for new mothers. Not only do your children love to be with their grandmother, your mother loves to have them. So enjoy and future adventures. ❤️

Absolutely do indeed! We give 24/7 willingly & wholeheartedly to our children and they in no way suffer from us mums having a day with the girls to relax and remind ourselves that we do still exist and we are as important as the children & husbands etc.

I am not Mennonite but I do try to honor God in my dress and was personally convicted to start wearing dresses and skirts, but man, is it hard to find them in the stores that are modest! Miller is adorable. The dried berry/raisin mix is great for adding into green salads. I love spreading cream cheese on those thin salami slices and sprinkle with everything bagel mix, yum. I also will take cheese sticks, cut them and wrap in those salami slices. With some fruit I call it my charcuterie lunch. Haha! A day away is totally worth the extra work. Enjoy your day.

I can totally relate to feeling nervous and a little guilty when your kids are not with you! My dad has my girls right now and he took them to a river. Makes me so nervous! I thought I would take a little nap since we aren’t at home (no dishes, laundry, or projects to do!) but I’m watching KZfaq videos instead and praying for peace. Yikes! I hope you had a wonderful time!

A hack for your fly problem. Set up a fan outside that blows against your door so the flies don’t sit on the door and wait for it to open. It works

Such a great day out. Ive alwaus lived 15min from our great beaches..kinda take it for granted but i spent many days at the beach with 3 kids & often we went as soon as my husbamd came home & had picnic dinner on the beach..hardboiled eggs with sand & salt!

I love seeing that fox sparrow bag you have next to your nail polish bag! I use it to store my diapers in my diaper bag. It has gone through being thrown in the ocean, dragged in the dirt and being stained by grape juice but it’s still clean and holding on!

Looks like a wonderful time! I haven’t taken a vacation in several years now definitely see the reason why it’s necessary for people to take that sort of time. Lord willing maybe in the near future so hard to “make the time” with little but such a blessing when your able loved millers adorable little face at the end *giggles* I totally understand your wonder if your missed I feel that same way whenever I go somewhere and come home it’s like oh moms home… lol 😂 my littlest is at the same stage as miller such a special time

Thank you! for the cream cheese and ranch recipe. We are having a girls day picnic at our local park after church on sunday. Im going to being along my tomato mozzarella salad and this dip. Can't wait to try it. My family is dutch and Italian so I always to a cheese and meat charcuterie board with nuts, veggies, crackers and fruit. This dip will deffinatly be a sure pleaser with everyone. I love making some of your desserts. I have a good friend who is mennonite and she always makes the strawberry dessert you make and its amazing. My cousins and I range in age in there mid 30's children and me late 40s no children. I tirned them on to your channel as we all enjoy it. We are a family of talented crafting, sewing, crosss stitch. They have Etsy sites. I've been visiting Lancaster for years and I thought I new alot of places. Thank you for showing me so many more I can enjoy with my family. Especially places that I wasn't sure were safe to explore. Another fun activity idea with the ladies is Color Coded Girls Night Out. Write the colors on piece paper with color and have them pick, you won’t know what colors until the day off. You need to dress up with the color you picked and bring in treats, beverages,snacks,fruits, etc…of the same color. I ended up with red color. I got creative with my outfit and snacks.

I'm a first time mom and just finished exclusively breastfeeding my one year old. The thing that stays in the back of my mind is having to let someone take care of our baby for a day. Even though, they would be his grandparents, it's a frightening thing to leave your baby for the first time. Teared up seeing you reunite with your babies. This momma isn't ready!! But I know the grandparents are. 😊🥲

Frozen water bottles make great ice packs. We refreeze them and they can be extra water in a pinch.

Take time for yourself because I never did and you need to go to get refreshed and relaxing time, but the kids need time away from mom or even mom and dad. This is a little vacation for them also
