Beach House Albums RANKED Worst to Best (2006 - 2023)

Continuing on my Beach House craze, I'm looking at all eight of their LPs and ranking them worst to best. "Worst" is a bit of a misnomer here, as they're all pretty decent. To date, the band has given us eight studio albums, dating all the way back to 2006 and culminating (at least for now) with the 2022 LP "Once Twice Melody." This one comes by request from a viewer!

Love to hear the Black Car appreciation, it's my favorite from the band and my favorite song period! I just love how minor and epic it feels while still maintaining the mysterious and dreaminess of BH. I definitely wouldn't put Depression Cherry over Bloom though, maybe I just think DC is overrated. Absolutely love Space Song and Levitation, but the rest just doesn't connect to me. Bloom I think paired with Teen Dream are the two best albums the band has produced in terms of consistency and impact. Nice video!

I love and appreciate the video! 7 is an incredible choice for number 1. This is my ranking: 1. Once Twice Melody + Become (I feel this is the purest most epic Beach House we’ve ever gotten and it really never drags for me because I love every song) 2. Thank Your Lucky Stars 3. 7 4. Devotion 5. Depression Cherry 6. Bloom 7. Beach House 8. Teen Dream

Thanks for sharing your ranking! Glad you enjoyed the video; it's always interesting to see what others would select. 7 happened to drop at a time where the music just resonated deeply with what I was going through and experiencing in life. For that, it'll be a tough one to top...

7 is my most listened Beach House record, followed by Depression Cherry and Bloom. Once Twice Melody is a good record but it falters because of the duration. The record is graced with gorgeous tracks like the title track, new romance, over and over, finale, etc. but it lacks the highs of the previous record. I think of it as a little bit overly produced, where alex's guitar are much more subdued and victoria's vocals sound a little bit more monotonous.

Yep. OTM definitely seems to lack the highs. That's exactly what I meant when talking about that one in the video. I'd say 7 and Bloom are my most-listened to, followed closely by Depression Cherry and Teen Dream.
