This song is the only song I know that puts a paralyzing fear of loss into me, but then gives me the feeling of moving on and being happy. It's surreal to let your mind wander with this song, and terrifying to feel that the one closest to you is gone forever, giving you extreme sadness, then the feeling of moving on and becoming happy. Then you wake back up from the song and see them in the other room. Really makes me constantly tell them I love them, and I spend more time with them than I already do. Because this song some how showed me that time is so precious and limited. So I need to spend it wisely and not galabanting around, but giving them space to I'm not attached to their hip lol.

This song is not only my favorite Beach House song ever, but one of my favorites of all songs. I cannot get enough listening to this song, especially the part starting at the fourth minute. I'm reading people's stories in the comments and I see the similar feelings felt by them as much as I do. A long deepless and bleak stare, traveling somewhere that you don't know for more than 6 minutes, and then somehow come back relieved. almost a year ago, a guy sent me this song and told me it was his favorite. I listened to it almost everyday religiously. in my head it was HIS song and I liked him so much or I thought I did. It was my first tims and I was naive and he brought me so much pain to the point that I couldn't listen to this song without weeping out but I kept it on my playlist so I could come and listen to it later and make sure I moved on. and I did but this song still reminds me of him, the way I was on the moon when he hugged and touched me in the cinema during our 1st date, all the pain and joy I felt with him and our last conversation.
