Good little video, I'm often down there myself. Good section of beach . Have you had any luck with Jews on lures there? I'm still trying. cheers

Dan Yurisich no jew on metals off the beach, from what I've heard they're unlikely to go for that type of presentation but a live tailor on a slide rig would most certainly raise a jewfish...

Dan Yurisich to raise a jewfish on artificial off the beach, I would try something like a 5 inch paddle tail. Theres a squidgy that looks like a whiting, or also the McArthy in lavender colour.

I catch 8 tailor most nights with mullies and I'm yet to catch one in the same spot with lures after 5 ish trips.

Maybe let your lure sink for a bit if the fish are taking bait off the bottom??

Its all about confidence and the correct speed retrieval. Tailor are predatory fish chasing a lure is a reflex for them

I've been throwing big plastic and various hardbodies, persistence pays I guess, see you on the water .

Dan Yurisich yip. Persistence pays that's the only way to crack the code. Took me a while to work out the metals, and now I can certainty 'read' the beach a lot better which ups the catch rate for sure...

Blacksmiths...but they're all along the NSW coast in the gutters at high tide...

Hi mate, interesting video but a little better camera angle and bit of informative commentary about the location and your action could be very helpful. Ta 👍

Camera angle 🤣 GoPro chest mount is about as good as it's gonna get. Commentary...nah, I'm a bit shy...but thanks for mentioning the ideas 👍

What gear did you use? Rod, reel and line? Cheers
@AlluringFishing5 жыл бұрын
Rather what gear do I use now....daiwa seabass 10ft6 rod, shimano stradic 4000, 10lb power pro braid, 20lb black magic mono leader. FG knot (mono to braid)

@@AlluringFishing Cheers bro. I went to HQ Tackle today as you suggested. Awesome!

Alluring Fishing thank you Sir. Is mono better than fluorocarbon as the leader in this instance ? If so, why ? Thanks.
@AlluringFishing5 жыл бұрын
@@thebestisyettobe5506 I think the difference in terms of visibility in the surf would be minimal so mono would be fine, maybe even preferable due to better stretch and therefore less chance of pulling hooks...tailor have very soft flesh
