Both of you make a great duo with the tutorials, I love how you take turn and explain detail by detail for dummies like me. I was able to understand everything that both of you have explained. I love working with the kumihimo, but I got sick and had to postponed it for a while. I just started crafting a short time ago and now I am into teaching several persons so I honestly loved watching you because it refreshes my skills. I love your skills and tricks. I am cheap to not waste any material, therefore, I usually go to just a bit more than what I need. Although, I am quite late to win your gift, I just love working with your tools. Thank you for sharing. Florie Vega from Puerto Rico.❤

I'm Lyn Boyle and I used to do beadwork ( about 40 - 45 years ago) all the time. In those days I crocheted necklaces and made headed necklaces. I would love to get back into the crafting again. I have been watching your KZfaq videos day and most of the nights. I visited your website and am really excited to get started working on a kumihimo. Thanks for sharing!

I just started my first Kumihimo project (wrap bracelet) after a 38 year hiatus (life) and moving back to the US from Japan in 1984! 😊 I just figured we would have the kits and everything here. That thought was NO BUENO! And, of course I wanted to carry back my books from our classes, ikebana scissors, silk ribbons, and yukata in my luggage. Aside from that, I was also helping my best friend navigate Narita and the train stations as she had cerebral palsy... I had alot on my hands... Then I had a child and did costuming for different ballrt companies. Glad to have it back and incorporate in my business. Bethany McKittrick

I’m from Massachusetts. I just started doing peyote beading and was curious about loom beading, so I watched one of your loom beading videos. It looked like something I could do, so I placed an order at your online store for a full loom kit and a refill kit. As I was scrolling through the kits, I saw the Kumihimo kits. Since I had never heard of Kumihimo, I was curious as to what it involved. When I saw your video come up on KZfaq, I just had to satisfy my curiosity. What an interesting way of making jewelry. I may have found something else to try! I think I’d better wait til my order comes, though, and see how I do with the loom method first. My biggest problem, though, is I don’t even wear jewelry. What am I going to do with all the things I make? Lol. Thank you for your tutorials. You always explain the processes so anyone can understand. I have to stop watching them, though, because you give me too many ideas!

03-19-2022 I use Red Heart yarn for my braiding (w/o beads), the thinner flosses and rat tail, cuts into my skin. Secondly, I also have added 2, 3, 4, and up to 5 strings of the same color to each slot, making each project that much more thicker. Using a basic 8, 12, 16, 20 or 24 warp, multi colored, candy cane, or 5000 other patterns, like you just showed for you basic 8 and or 24warp at the beginning of your show. (With an added twist.) I use 6 sets of color side by side all the way across north 32-1 to South 16-17 all the way around. Then use 14-22g crafting wire make a small hook on one end, I take a short length of yarn to loop through all of my center yarn to hang my weight from and then hook my wire though the top 4 warps, and pinch it closed. The other end is coiled so it is out of the way and less chance to lose an eye. By having the hook only half way hides the wire from the outside end. As I braid or weave I keep the wire in the center and uncoil as needed. Once I have reached my desired length (16-20 inches). I hook the end and weave 1 whole rotation or twice around, to again encase the wire. Then tie off with a few crossing square knots. And remove from the disk. And finally I add a pre-paint round wooden craft ball or a fluted 8 sided diamond, with a hole on one side and glue them in place, and now what I have is a Man's Scottish Torx; adjustable, self closing, necklace of about 3/4 to 1-1/2inch diameter. The center wire hold the shape around their neck so no findings are needed. I use both a fat 32, for an up to 24warp and fat 64 for an up to 40warp. My boys don't wear beaded anything. LOL. With thousands of patterns to chose from and up to 40 colors the sky is still; not my limit. Thank you for showing the 12 top spiral, that was new to me.
