Thanks for all the great info. I work with a non-profit arts organization and teach classes. Many times we are given donations of yarn, thread, ribbon, etc. so now I have a better idea of what to use for the kumihimo projects.

Thank you for such a comprehensive and clearly explained video on different materials one can use. Sometimes it’s just good to see how a material looks before and after , how it moves , and how it feels. Thanks again!

I just ran across your site. I soon realized that this manner in which cords are woven in a beautiful way was a skill my husband used constantly on our ranch. He often took apart rope , often thick Colton rop

Oops often thick cotton. He would dismantle the ropes and rework them into what you are displaying! He felt it would make the cotton rope much gentler on our animals! I am shocked! Thank you

It's nice to finally put a face to the voice. I've never tried kumihimo but I've only seen it with S-lon and seed beads. Good to know that it will work with a lot of other stringing material.

thank you for explaining it so well. I've seen kumihimo done in wire. Could you show the different kinds of wires?

Hi T H, I do have a wires video, but it's more along the lines of wirework in general. I haven't really done any wire kumihimo yet, so I'll have to do some research and practice, LOL. Hope you have a great evening!
