Thanks so much for sharing this information, it’s so hard to know the differences between all the different threads available. This will help me so much with my beading. I have been purchasing my fireline from the fishing tackle shops here in Australia, but knowing that the regular beading threads are good for embroidery is most helpful and saving me some money, thanks for this most helpful information. I have been trying other fishing lines and they are not as good as fireline. 🥰🥰🥰

Let me tell you my favorite beading line. Also a Berkley product, NanoFil. 6lb test is .13 mm. In inches .0005"... I have been using this a while, and especially for size 11/0 Delica beeds for several passes. This has been by far the best thread so far. Once I tried it, I will choose it over Fireline every time. Also found in fishing stores. 4lb, 6lb, & 8lb work great for siz 11 beads. I do alot of flat peyote, loom, celini spirals, and other weaving patterns. I love the stuff !! Thank you for your videos, I love them.

Weirdly, Nymo is slightly more than double the price of S-lon where I live! And KO is 3x the S-lon price (€1.30 vs €3). Two brands on that store that aren't in thjs video are Nozuke Sonoko (almost €8 for one spool of 100m, equivalent to KO) and SoNo (€5.50 for 100m). The shop I'm buying from is closing so everything is half off - I'm getting one or two spools of each kind to try 😅

When I was browsing prices, I also came across that the prices vary a lot in different countries...interesting.... I've heard of Sono too, but I forgot to put it in the review because it's not really available here, only a few stores have it. I'll have to try it out too.

Hi! Thank you so much for this informative video! I'm a recent beginner. Thanks for looking at US pricing, that's interesting! Some synonyms just as a beginner beader (not a pro) would be a "do-over" or a "redo." For example, "these last four beads aren't laying the way I want them to, so I'm just going to redo them." "Do-over" is slightly more slang and has a humorous connotation to it. Like a meme that says "I need a do-over! Lol" The way you said it was fine and I would not have noticed you needed any synonyms, but it was fun to give you a couple, anyway!

Great video. I love One G; hate anymore because I always end up piercing it. As far as Fireline, I prefer Wildfire over Fireline. I also started using Tulip beading needles because they do not pierce threads as much as other needles.

❤ thanks so much. I have used the slon and then switched to ko. I loved ko. I bought wildfire and found it tough for me to work with. Fighting withvthread sucks, so im going to try fireline. I still love the wildfire, but keep it for bigger beads. Hopefully fireline will be easier to thread. I found if i tamp down the end of the wildfire, it goes on the needle better. Im new to beading, any needle threading tricks? Love your videos...thanks for all the help ❤😊
@Danysska
@Danysska 2 ай бұрын
I also sometimes squeeze the ends of the thread to make it fit the needle :) But with Fireline, for example, it's not necessary because it has a flat cross section. As for threading, I have a trick, but I haven't shown it in a video yet. It works by not threading the thread into the eye of the needle, but instead holding the thread between your fingers and threading the needle onto the thread :) It sounds weird, but it makes threading the thread easier.

I‘m with you on the 0,12mm FireLine, I find it too thick at 0,15mm which is the 8pound-version, I think. Thank you for the tips on what to use for bead embroidery, that is on my list of things to do, when I ever get time. Not a native speaker, but maybe „undo stitches“?

@Danysska
@Danysska 9 ай бұрын
Hi, very often Nymo thread or S-lon is used for loom (very easy to find here and cheap). And you need to use a special beading needle. You can't get a regular needle through a bead hole. Something like that: Thread: www.manumi.eu/nymo-beading-thread or www.manumi.eu/s-lon-beading-thread Needle: www.manumi.eu/beading-needle-100-mm

Hello, thank you so much for this video. I wonder if you know what is difference between K.O Miyuki (green label) and Miyuki thread (black label). I have only K.O ones but I heard it is weaker than second type of Miyuki thread (I heard it in local bead shop when one customer said it). That's interesting find🤔

Hi, if you're just stringing, I'd recommend a transparent nylon thread with a diameter of about 0.2 - 0.3mm or Fireline - it's more workable.

What is the different between Fireline crystal and Fireline ultra 8?
@Danysska
@Danysska 8 ай бұрын
Fireline Ultra 8 is an 8-carrier braided line that is made of thermally fused Dyneema fibers. It has a higher pick count than Fireline Crystal, which makes it smoother and more abrasion-resistant. I haven't tried it in practice, but I don't think it will have much effect in the production of bead items. It will probably make more sense for fishermen.

Fire line thread has to be imported in our India which is available for around $65 which is around Rs 3800 in India.These are very expensive and the cost of one piece of jewelry is around $4, which means net profit is around $1.5, according to which the business will be fire by using fire line..😂😂 But here in India a nylon thread is available which is used for special jewelry and kites, it is 3 ply but it is not Korean nylon, it is not possible to break it with hands, if you try, it cuts your hand, it is so strong but very flexible and the price is also 8-9 dollars means close to 550-600 rupees per kg yes this thread is available in kg and is cheap and economical
