They should have dropped a dump truck on Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of WWII 1) Less civilian casualties. 2) Better bridge destruction capabilities, the Aioi Bridge survived the bombing of Hiroshima despite being the aim for the bombing and laying pretty much exactly at ground zero. 3) Huge psychological impact: "The enemy has so many resources that they can throw brand new dump trucks at us"

If you checked the bombs in the Mitchell plane, they look the same as the nuclear bomb. As the developer said, in the plane are 4x 500lb bombs. So that is a 500lb bomb.

Alternately, someone left the safeties on for those bombs. IRL, they do in fact have safeties which prevent the explosion from being nuclear should something happen accidentally. It turns out that it takes very precise conditions to actually make a nuclear explosion, so just disturbing things slightly turns a nuclear bomb into a conventional one, albeit one that spreads a mess of radioactive material around. Actually, there have been real instances of bombers crashing while loaded with nuclear bombs. It just goes to show that not only do the safeties work, but it's pretty important that they do.

Draegast because in the top left the fuel tank ruptured, giving off an explosion. A nuclear bomb will not explode unless triggered by a primer. The fuel tank will

This is actually an accurate representation of a real nuke. They're protrayed as larger for propaganda reasons, but really those were just dropped on miniatures (and filmed in slow motion).

When a nuke hits the ground TOO fast irl, it doesn't actually explode. That's actually why the thing on the back is on the nuke, and why bombs that have that thing spin a bunch when you see then in movies and stuff.
