I love my beardie. He chills on my shoulder on days I work from home and absolutely loves to be handled. Best reptile pet by far. He's never once hissed at me or even flared his beard up (unless I startle him) then when he realizes it's me he immediately chills out. Absolutely love these reptiles.

iron battle axe of embers it is true, unless you just yank an adult from the wild or it was abused. beardies are super sweet, kind babies that usually love being held. the most danger they emit is salmonella from all the bacteria. that can be prevented by washing your hands! their bite doesnt hurt either, they just do it for shock :)

I'm sure he figured this out in the end, but the easiest way to catch them is to literally walk up to them and grab them 😂 If you don't give them direct eye contact then they think they're still camouflaged.

I miss my Bubby :( he was missing his tail when I got him, and because of that the people at the pet store told me that he was not going to live to be 1 year old, but he lived for 8 years! I loved him so much, he was my pride and joy.

Australian here! Currently 17 of these guys at my front door, I have them some water and a heat lamp. They are confused about my false water cobra eating mice. Keep in mind you don’t have to tackle them, they are pretty calm reptiles, and they usually like tail pats.

Mine doesn’t if i even touch his tail he freaks out. But then again mine is a rescue and the friends of the last owner used to hold him by his tail. Never kept him in a heat lamp and she fed him on a diet for snakes

Growing up in my house my father was obsessed with bearded dragons. He had dozens and used to breed them! All different colors and species within them. I'm very familiar with them and they're by far one of the most beautiful and iconic reptiles! 😍😍

Okay, uh, since you are a bearded dragon owner, I would like to ask something pretty random. A person in my art class always gets out the class pet, who happens to be a bearded dragon. She always takes him out near the end of class and messes around with him until the teacher puts him back. But one thing she does freaked me out a bit. Basically, she set him on the desk, and he began to walk away. Then, she grabbed his tail and pulled him back strongly. I don’t know if this is okay or not, but please tell me. I don’t want him to get hurt.

Bearded dragons are naturally calm. And dont often dart. Did you know the have a " third eye" it senses a predictor on top of it . Oh and the lizards beard is better

Recently got a bearded dragon from a home he was well socialized in! Absolutely loves to cuddle & sun bathe! The previous owners thought he was a girl & named her Joanna, now realizing it is in fact a boy. We've named him joannathon! Really enjoyed the video!
