In part one of the Toronto mini-series, I'm taking on a humongous undefeated steak challenge!
It's my first time in Canada so I managed to secure the services of a very handsome chaperone....Joel Hansen! I know a lot of people have asked for us to film something together for a long time, so I hope you enjoy it.

Evening folks! Welcome to the first of (hopefully) a four part mini-series documenting my trip to Toronto. In tonight's video I'm warming up for the big contest with a rather ill-advised giant steak challenge...I know...I'll never learn ;) Let me apologise for the fact that there's no timer on this video...Trying to turn around these videos, editing, commentating, annotating etc. has been a bit hectic, so I actually wound up getting 4 minutes into the edit before realising I'd missed the timer. It would've taken too long to go back and include it, but hey...all the more reason for you to watch Joel's version of the video when he uploads! I hope you can join me for the next episode this Sunday at 7pm BST, for what I think is a video you're all gonna love...Trust me ;)

I did a 72 once in Texas once. Intentionally did't eat nothing the previous day & crushed it. Ironically from experience I'll say the leaner you are the more you can stomach in a single sitting. This was 2001 when I was playing alot of sport. These days I'm 40 and can hammer 6 forequarter lamb chops with a salad as a max, but I'm 30pnds heavier now & a 72oz steak would put me in hospital haha.

@@lhorne4808 My dad eats his steak well-done and he would've eaten that steak. I used to be that way (I didn't know any better lol). But that was overcooked. Should have sent it back. also, I like mine medium, havent gotten to where I can do medium-rare yet. Working on it though.

In many steakhouses that I have been in, the knives are as dull on the front edge as on the back. there are big teeth that snag rather than cut. Takes a lot of the joy out of a good piece of meat.
