I know this is a month ago, but this song requires quite a bit of back story. Hopsin was signed to Ruthless Records, which used to be Eazy-E's label but his wife Tomica Wright ran it when they signed Hopsin. Hince the "You on that same bullshit Tomica brought!" He has a whole song on that situation called "Kill Her." Also the "This is that RAW shit, that organic flow you probably see up in whole foods." was also a reference to his album RAW which had "Kill Her" on it. This song is about the label, Funk Volume, he founded with Dame Ritter, Dame's brother being Swizz, also on the label. This chronicles the struggle he had with that guy.

This is when hopsins solo label was born aka up aka undercover prodigy... he started funk volume wit friends n he made dam a partial label owner of the label to deal wit the business side so he could jus concentrate on his music but he learned his lesson n now does the business side himself for u.p....

The story behind this Ill Mind 8 is a story about his label funk volume and Damien Ritter taking money from himself and other artist of funk volume they have since forgiven each other but hopsin is now independent

This is song is complete fire! Music labels screw over artist. I don't know if you heard that recently Logic called out Def Jam for not paying some of the people who worked on his album. It's effecting his personal relationships around him. Once money is involved then weird tension starts to develop.
