What about that German guy who just stared at the board, then smiled briefly, told her he forgot just about everything and went home. At home he wept as he read old e-mails he exchanged with a long gone loved one, then found consolation in reading Adam Zagajewski's poetry and passages from a forgotten book by a modernist Slovenian author. He proceeded to brew green tea, drank a cup, fed the cat and went back to Anna and her chess board, but she was long gone. He lay on the grass and looked into the few stars one could see in the midnight sky. "I might as well sleep here", he thought, feeling the still warm summer breeze on his skin.

So, this is exactly the opposite of what we are seeing online, the guys are paying softwares to win, you are paying to lose... ;D Great.

OMG, from Madrid to Paris, you should have stopped to visit Toulouse, I'd have played chess with you (no need the 20€ challenge ... I'd even have paid 20€ to have this honor) - Maybe next time :-) Nice video, your smiles are heartwarming

The "win and receive 20 euros" is clearly not in our culture so it is not surprising that it did not work that well. Yet, I hope you had a good time in our city. Love your videos and your positive energy (something I wish we import from your country) !

I feel most people assume it’s a scam or something weird. Seems most times when people try to do a video about get money if you can do X they have a hard time finding people to participate.

Hey Anna, FYI, you put the € sign before the amount. So you might wanna change the title to €20

It depends how on where you’re from. Countries that put the currency sign after the numbers prior to adopting the euro continue that practice. For example, Finland. Agree it is placed before the number in France and most Euro area countries but that is not a universal practice. :-)

@@kevinp1231 She has lived in sweden and spain. Both places put the currency symbol before. So does most of Europe + the entirety of USA (KZfaqs largest number of consumers). :-)
