I'm here for it. I use Synthesizer-V as my vocal assistant, and its changed how I create music. I feel that its good enough for a final product, though I'm not releasing anything on a commercial scale and I might feel differently if I was. I'm not putting anyone out of work, because if it didn't exist, I simply wouldn't be writing vocal songs - I actually did write mostly instrumental stuff before this tech came along. That said, I have worked with singers on a few songs in the past, and as a relatively untrained songwriter, I found vocal sessions to be difficult to get through. Synth-V gives me the time I need to think about phrasing delivery, with no unexpected results that might otherwise require a second vocal studio session, and aids in the actual writing itself, both in terms of musical notes, and lyrics to fit. Even for scratch vocals, this is an incredibly useful tool, that would give a singer a really good idea of the result I'm looking for in terms of phrasing or word emphasis/cadence, beyond the actual notes themselves.

Where can I get the software? How much does it cost and do you get upgrade licenses for life? is the software class compliant and compatible with Linux? i'm a singer trying to make melodies because melodies are not my strongest suit so would love someone to help with writing songs that I can sing. I'd like to make original material

Agreed. Synth-V is the best and works great with the DAW and the ammount of adjustments you can do on the voice is quite impressive. Here's an example I did kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bN5gaq2Vus-pqWQ.html

I use Synth-V as well. I'd have to say, after watching this little demo of SoundID - Synth-V is hands down a better solution. So much more control and versatility. Edited to add Its also a one time purchase, not cloud based and renders in real-time.

It's not a matter of for or against, it's a matter of common sense! Who controls the music industry ? It it's cheaper to replace music creators then that's what's going to happen.Doesn't mean it is not amazing technology and is very attractive for any of us... By the way I loved your original voice! Thought it sounded like Thom yorke!!

thats pretty impressive, i definitely can see me using this. my wife is classical studied singer, so i´m surely not going to replace her voice, but this can be useful for creating background choir variations from her original performances and blending them slightly in. just one example. thanks for the tip! the only thing i´m always concerned about all the AI tools are, what is happening with the data we are giving (in this case the audio, the lyrics).

I will definitely use this to get ideas together. In the past I had singers who do not know me at all not really get "the idea" because I sang it myself and although I do get pitch right my voice really is not even close to acceptable.

It sucks you can't just pay one price and get unlimited upgrades for life you truly got no limits. Maybe one day I suppose. Also would be really cool if you could make true wide hard panned vocals with AI. It seems like when you try to use extra AI voices it doesn't give you that effect. I want to make choir of AI male voices that actually sound amazing together especially pant hard left and hard right. I would probably have to record hundreds of takes wouldn't I

Everyone hates AI until it does the job they didnt want to do. This is a perfect example cutting out the smaller artists in favor of mass produced slop. So many indie vocalists try to get their voice heard and then a "tool" like this comes along and invalidates all of them. Why bother crunching through auditions or paying others when you can perform a poor cover and AI can give you the voice you want? And for the argument of "This helps smaller producers who cant afford vocalists" thats a hard stop. AI skips the learning process. The mixing, the mastering, the experimentation, and spits out whatever the company that made the model decides you want. Daft Punk didnt click on a robot vocoder preset and get famous overnight. Everything they do is crafted through years of experience. Not to mention the connections and networks you would form with other artists and producers, are all thrown out the window. In an industry where WHO you know is so important, creating a "tool" that isolates an artist to their basement without requiring them to make the connections they need will lead to a faceless dead end career. I cannot sit silently while people I looked up to are shortsightedly pushing for the antethisis of what they and the rest of the industry is supposed to represent.
@BeatAcademy
@BeatAcademy 11 күн бұрын
Valid points. I really do see what you mean. I still believe this will never replace the human connection needed and all the nuance in between. These A.i tools are increasing in development, and being pumped out fast. we havent had time to stop and think i f it should be done they are just ebing made. so how do we use it in a way to discover that human connection a fresh? I said in the video I personally do not believe this will cut out singers, or anyone else in the process it just causes us to view the human connection different and we will probably value it it even more now than ever.
@uwuziel
@uwuziel 10 күн бұрын
@@BeatAcademy Take a look at these comments, especially from FlatTire, and tell me that this is making human connection more valuable. "Better than most real 'singers' " "Great way to get vocal chops" "I need this for my backups" I agree that the human element is what makes art and music special, but the people who use AI and the big wigs who have to pay dont care about the human element. They just want to make content/money. The reason the crowd is so divided is not complicated. There are people who want to do things by the book, and those who dont. Ethical people wont use AI, and those who do will overshadow those who dont. Humans just cant match the output rate and cheap costs of AI

One thing you forgot is these ai tools are using human / Indie artist as voices. There are services that will pay them for there voice. This is new stream of income for them if they smart. You record once and get paid everytime it’s used. It’s residual and pays 100x more than any streaming services.

@@midlifeadventures3138 Ok but you forget that so far all of these multi million dollar AI companies have had every chance to do that and they made billions while not doing it. Almost everything these datasets use is stolen and there is no reason for them to ask permission.

Yeah I'd need a tool like this for doing backing vocals, so this version of AI might work out a bit pricey for my needs. But the idea of this is brilliant. There are other AI sites offering the same idea of changing your vocal to another voice. Great for us songwriters wo can sing but could use some layered backing vocals.

It's quite intriguing. If it aids in creativity, why not give it a try? Unfortunately, the installation/activation process is messy on my Mac, causing Ableton (12) to crash repeatedly and there is no way to uninstall the plugin (except to delete it manually) . It seems like a beta version, even though it's not labeled as one. The race for AI tools in music production should not affect quality especially coming from companies like Sonarworks. I hope this will be improved soon.

Suno and Udio have changed the game completely. (worth a google if you're a musician) Try uploading a half baked song into either of these and have your ass handed to you. Music is dead now, long live the musicians. This week has been truly humbling.
