How are you able to do this?
1. Unpack your game's files using UXM.
2. Download the latest version of the EKWRP mod from Sam Chan's channel.
3. Drag and drop the files from the downloaded archive into your Dark Souls 3 folder.
4. Set up a password protected online session with you and your friend.
5. Summon your friend into your world and use cheat engine to change each other's team types.
6. Kill bosses in the game to gain their "Elite Knight Boss Weapons." Equipping these weapons will give you the boss's model and moveset. You can also use the "Item Gib" script in The Grand Archive's discord's cheat table.

That final fight is just beautiful to watch, Watching Gael and Friede jump around the map releasing flurries of magic across the arena, dodging each others attacks and chaining into their own, it's like an elegant dance of death.

The portion from 29:37 to 29:42, with the blue pillars of ice mixing with the black flames of her scythe, then jumping to a top-down view of a violent explosion of red souls, before ending with another explosion creating a chaotic mix of black and red effects, that was pretty cinematic.

Yeah, she feels like a Main Character with an already pre-established moveset that is actually serviceable at best. Unlike your run-of-the-mill ugly character who is made poorly through the character creation screen.

Man this run gave me some major kingdom Hearts vibes. The fluid, dramatic combat with all the combos, aerial maneuvers, and magic melee moves. I might have to try this at some point soon. Also makes me hyped for Elden Ring.

While I've never died from the throat slit attack from friede, I have been hit by it and left with about 20 hp, panicking was about the most gross understatement one could make about my reaction...

that friede gameplay looks so fun and amazing. In some ways, it doesn't feel too much like dark souls with this though. usually in dark souls your character is somewhat slow and has good health, but in this friede is the opposite, very fast and tricky because you can't afford to get hit. On the other hand it looked rly refreshing to see you move around so quickly. It rly was awesome.

I also did several playthroughs with this mod, Friede and Cinder were by far the most fun ones. The damgage is a bit too OP so I only used +1 weapons.

I love that you cant heal, i feel that it would be incredibly overpowered. At least without healing you really have to rely on your mobility and you get pushed for your mistakes. A lot more enjoyable to watch at least. And that fight at the end lol so cool. Like a final dance. Great video.

The reason Friede can't heal herself is because she only heals herself and Ariandel in phase 2, and you only have access to phase 1 and 3

Would be cool if with these challenges you would go into the other phase the same way the boss your playing as would (except mabye her 2nd phase) which would make the character run even more authentic. Great progress has been made and I'm excited to see this in elden ring should you pursue it.

I have just completed my +9 playthrough as a male version of Fried. I use the Scythe and a couple spells, but it is so much fun. Like you said, it's so satisfying knowing you could have died in 2 hits but still defeating bosses.

You had lots of fun with this video and we can tell. The snarky frozen reference, the whole Achille's heel comparisons at 17:01 and the lore scenes with the Yuria duel...nice ! Also about the ice trails, the reason beasts bosses like Ariandel, Demon Prince etc take so much damage from it is because the trails are made of multiple bullets (mini AoEs each inflicting damage), and while the player can only be hit by one since it sends them flying immediately and thus grant them knock-down i-frames...the bosses don't have this chance and their large size mean they get hit by multiple bullets at the same time for massive damage. Ouch.

Btw, if I´m not mistaken, she didn't try to link the fire, she tried to usurp it (as we do in the end of "The Lord Of Hollows) but she can't and was reduced to ashes by the same fire that she tried to steal for the people of Londor.

Thanks for watching! Yuria's dialogue after you defeat Friede seems to imply that Friede "turned away from Londor." That's why I guessed that she may have tried to link it. I could very well be wrong though as it's just a guess! This next thought is also just an idea, but her actions in the Painted World make me think she probably would've linked the flame because of how she used Ariandel's blood to disrupt the natural process in the Painted World. Linking the flame is also a way of unnaturally disrupting the process, so the actions are similar in a way. Just a thought.
