The whole captain toad aspect to this game is like the antithesis of what Taz should be about, ramming into things as cyclones and causing mayhem. That's like making a doom game where doom guy has to put away his weapons and has to talk to demons with a ton of dialogue trees or something haha.

This is absolutely not my type of content, but yet I watch almost all of your episodes. One part nostalgia playing N64 with my neighbor and the other part is your refreshingly calm style, contrary to the majority of other game channels. Keep it up!

I absolutely hate that this was a highlighted comment when opening the video on my phone. My favorite part is just watching til the end for a "surprise". Lol I tend to scroll away when a video starts to avoid this, but it caught my eye right away even at a quick glance lol.... REEEEEE

Lol I know, it's so funny! As a kid I enjoyed playing that crappy Powerpuff girls fighting game Thab played a while back. I mean we knew it sucked, but it was fun anyway. We'd just goof around. I miss being a kid when you could just like.. "make up your own game" inside the game, create your own rules with your friends, and play "hide & seek or something inside the game.. and that was FUN! Can't really do that anymore :/

The fact that this game is based on making you perform a task that inhibits your ability to perform the spin that is the most iconic thing Taz does AND seems to be the most fun part of the game really shows how little thought was given to this game, damn.

Fun fact. Only state in the US that has saguaro cactus is Arizona. So if you ever see saguaro cactus in the wild in NA it's either Arizona or Mexico somewhere. There may be a few directly on the border of AZ with new Mexico or California but it would only be very few if any at all.

If this game trolls so hard that 20+ years later it causes a future tech professional video game expert to redefine comedy as an emotion, it must be pretty special. The part where he falls off the cliff from going too fast and says “Taz is out of control!” totally could have been in a commercial for this game back in the year 2000.

Usually I enjoy the longer vids, but as soon as I saw this was gonna be almost 30 minutes, I thought, "Poor Thab.... this game must've been a slog." 😂

Funny thing, actual Tasmanian Devils are outright _cute_ and don't look anything like Taz beyond being mammals. Turns out also that their family dynamic is interesting; they're all solitary hunters, but communal eaters. After taking down prey, a Devil will let out a scream to let other Devils in the area know there's food, then they fight over the meal with the strongest getting the best bits of meat. Hilarious and fits a cartoon family really well.

Than you don't know far. Looney tunes were a big hit in the 90's here with flippo's/taz'O's. Tasmania had it's own big cartoon show with his family and a super catchy song

I remember reading about this in n64 magazine as a kid, and eventually renting it and playing it. Don't recall enjoying it much despite the generous write-up in the magazine.

I've never heard Thab this perceptibly upset with a game before outside of mahjong. Can't blame him though, this looks tedious and unforgiving. For a system that had so many platformers, it's shocking how bad many platforming cameras were. Even SM64 and Banjo-Kazooie had major issues.

@@jhkuno88 We're talking about the cartoon style being well represented. The characters look like skinned meshes instead of "sausage links", they animate well and retain personality, the textures look like the cartoon and the backgrounds evoke the "wonky" style that WB cartoons were using back when this came out. The draw distance seems absolutely fine for the way this game plays.

@@soviut303 lol this game has garbage graphics in every possible way, low poly characters, zero lighting and ultra basic textures ......the only thing decent are the animations,,,and btw its easier to do stuff when your game only has to render 10 feet around your character, compare this game vs a game like Banjo Kazooie and Taz looks like a poorly fan made game... All WB games look pretty average on both the PS1 (BugsBunny) and N64 (Daffy duck) tbh

The only Looney Tunes game I've ever played was Bugs Bunny Rabbit Rampage on the SNES. Man that game is so hard. I could never beat it. Its one of those games where if you lose all your lives you have to start all the way over from the first level.

I want to try this game. I'm a big fan of the Pickford Bros. work. Supposedly this game was an original IP called Vampire Carnival that was reworked into Taz for financial reasons.

I wonder. It's possible both the music and saving issues were caused by forcing it to NTSC. But it could also be a bad dump of the game, or a dump of a beta version

I was OBSESSED with Taz as a kid, so naturally I loved this game! it was hard as shit though so I never made it past the second space level with the really narrow paths. Thanks for showing me the rest of the game haha. I'd love a modern day remake of this game minus all the jank

If i remember correctly, also these PAL -games does not have USA/NTSC -version: *Airboarder 64. *HSV Adventure Racing. *F-1 World Grand Prix 2. *F-1 Racing Championship. *Michael Owen's World Leaque Soccer 2000. *Premier Manager 64. *Rakuga Kids.

HSV Adventure Racing and World League Soccer are the same as Beetle Adventure Racing and Mia Hamm Soccer. F1 Racing Championship got an NTSC version in Brazil (while Brazil is PAL-M, the games are just US NTSC versions and will work in a US console).
