Ross actually regressed throughout the series. The first 2 seasons he was like the most sensible and level headed friend but by the end of the series, he was like one of the weirdest and silliest. I cannot imagine season 2 Ross wanting to kiss his cousin or break into Mona's apartment or do a lot of the facial expressions and physical comedy we see during the later seasons.

I love the scene where Ross and Phoebe are running to the front desk and Phoebe runs right past the stanchions while Ross runs through them. Call me weird but it says a lot about their characters without any dialogue and I just think that was a clever and funny detail.

I love how Phoebe is probably the smartest of the group Bc she manages to make Ross admit defeat in an argument on homeground, knows how to socialise with people Really shows she just lacked education

Phoebe is not the smartest, she is just street smart more than the 5 others, especially Ross who is the most book smart and a suburb kid.

@@misstriciak Phoebe is weirdly smart. Ross, on the other hand, is the kind of person who reads a lot to be book smart. Joey is Joey and Rachel is also not that smart, just privaleged. I think Chandler is the smartest out of the group

@@smirti Weirdly smart"? "Reads a lot 'to be' book smart"? There's no such thing, they are both smart in their own right. Rachel IS smart, she had to unlearn and build herself up from scratch in order to achieve success in life - she WAS spoiled. Monica is smart but she has OCD and traumas to deal with just like Chandler... he's not emotionally smart at the beginning but he evolved to not be such a smartass. Joey is smart with attracting women, a kind of street smarts like Phoebe, something Ross and Chandler are not.

It's hard because they're so unique in different ways. Joey is good looking an funny, Rachel is sweet and the girl girls want to look like and guys want to date, Chandler is hilarious without trying, Phoebe is quirky and whatever goes lol, Ross is a great father he's smart and funny then aside from the jealousy a good boyfriend/husband lol, Monica is probably the hardest to like because of her OCD lol but still a great friend and she can cook thats always a plus 😄. My 2 favs Chandler and Rachel next would be Ross and Joey.

I actually like these two. Two opposing views yet they come together in the name of friendship lol. Sometimes Ross can be hard to ingest but Phoebe can have fun with him now and then. One of my favorite scenes was Ross apologizing to the cat Phoebe believed was her mother reincarnated. Lol.

Ross has the best face reaction to Phoebe, every time she does something drastic you can see his face processing what the hell she is doing. One of my favorite friend combination, Phoebe testing Ross to be a little more light hearted while Ross looks after her, he bought her a bike and taught her how to ride one!
