I've been there last time 10 years ago. Back then there was one or two restaurants and two handfuls of loungers. It was an almost untouched beach. Today it looks as if there is hardly an untouched piece of earth left in Khao Lak... I was there for the first time in 2004 and almost all the beaches were empty...

Restaurants that see increased revenue marketing They increased the number of sunbeds on the beach. which is illegal But they still disobeyed. Government units are silent about these things. More tourists come To look for a quiet atmosphere like 10 years ago As you said We miss 10 years ago. But now it's chaotic and full of sunbeds on the beach Looks messy and not as good as before.

@michaelk.4459: You said it absolutely right, I had the same experience. Unfortunately, KZfaqrs and influencers don't want to recognize that they are making money at the expense of nature and are destroying nature with their videos and the resulting mass tourism.😟

In high season the beaches are very crouded. To much sunbeds and tables near by the beach. So we will come in april/may. Then it is calm. In 90 days we come to Khao Lak, we can't waite. Greetings from Germany. Petra

That's terrible, it looks like any other country in the world. Hopefully, Khao Lak will be spared from the beach loungers on the beach. We love the original so much!

Traurig was daraus geworden ist. Soviele Sonnenliegen 😢 früher war der Strand so schön und Natur belassen. Schade. Mir gefällt es überhaupt nicht wie es jetzt ist .
