Hi Ning, we remember that ferry from a visit 10 years ago! Can we check do they still have beach bars and massage services actually on the beach, just along from la flora resort? the last time we went they had all been removed on the governments request. I can see you visited in 2022, so was wondering if they have returned?

That's terrible, it looks like any other country in the world. Hopefully, Khao Lak will be spared from the beach loungers on the beach. We love the original so much!

Great Videos ❤ Do you think most Restaurants at/near the beach are still closed in August? We want to Visit khao lak 3 weeks in different hotels but love to eat outside the hotels. We travel with kids so it would be great not to habe to walk or drive much. Have a nice weekend

I was in Khao Lak from June 4-18, it was wonderful. And it looks like I was very lucky with the weather, because it only started raining heavily on the day I left.

Yes, there's stuff to do in Khao Lak during low season. Walked the seaside path in Khao Lak Lam Ru in todays morning drizzle (around 10 am, 17:th of June). Was a nice walk down to the secluded beach. Then had a light refreshment of fruits and off I went to splash in the waters of Coconut Beach. Finished off with walking and buying some food at Bang Niang Market (the bbq'd pork bellys at the entrance from main road are execellent). Got home(the hotel) in time before the big shower came and enjoyed the porkbelly while watching "The Beach". A good day all-in-all even if there was rain from time to time. 🎉

The majority of the staff working there is underpaid Burmese-that most likely are there Illegally. The owner of this place only thinks of money-and the shitminded Germans that stay there for Months.I once talked with a freelance gardener that trimmed the Palmtrees of the Resort-and was not paid properly for his work.The owner of this place has only sympathy for two things-Dumbass Sauerkraut Germans and Thai-Baht..
