Big thanks to saviours!❤ But worst wishes for the fishermen who use nets and those who let fishing needles on sand, in water, etc.

Fishermen can loose line when it gets snagged in an inaccessible place. They need to sell/by degradable line but it won't help in the short term. I don't know if there's an answer? As a kid we had canoes, etc, and used to collect floats caught on reeds, etc, on the far side of the canal. We always came home with some.

This was heart pounding!!😢 Was the heron going to be too injured!! These heros didn't give up!! 👍 What an amazing rescue!! Thank you to these kind people for stopping and helping this beautiful creature. That took time and patience, and I agree that this bird realized her was safe abd they were trying to help. That foot flexing when they got the netting off of it gave me goose bumps! Who knows how long it had been bound up like that! Kudos!!!

The Great Blue Heron, my favourite bird. As a kid at my grandparents cottage in Napanee, you saw many fly over the bay, have not seen any in years. It was amazing to watch you save one. Slowly all that I loved as a kid are disappearing, you gave this one a chance, hope they multiply again
